Blind mystic Baba Vanga's predictions for 2021 - and it's not looking much better than 2020

It turns out that the blind Bulgarian mystic Baba Vanga - who "predicted" global events such as 9/11, the rise of ISIS, and Brexit - also didn't hold out much hope for 2021.

Yes, 2020 has truly been a year to remember - in that it is the year most of us would love to forget ever happened.

From the deaths of beloved celebrities to the Australian bushfires to the ongoing pandemic, this year has been a struggle for so many of us.

And if you thought that 2021 was going to change the tide and bring the world some much-needed good news, well, I wouldn't hold out much hope, as the famed mystic and clairvoyant Baba Vanga has instead predicted "a lot of cataclysms and great disasters", the Daily Mail reports.

Prior to her death in 1996 at the age of 84, the blind mystic reportedly said that "difficult times will come" in 2021, and that "people will be divided by their faith".

"We are witnessing devastating events that will change the fate and destiny of humanity," she said.

Known as the "Nostradamus of the Balkans", Baba Vanga also said before her passing that humanity would suffer from "a lot of cataclysms and great disasters" in 2021 as three "giants" unite and a "strong dragon" seizes humanity.

I guess you can interpret that however you wish...

In some potentially good news, she also predicted that a cure for cancer would be found in 2021, allegedly stating: "The day will come when cancer will get tied with iron chains."

And in good news for the ongoing climate crisis, she predicted: "The petrol production will stop, and the Earth will rest."

Despite many people doubting the legitimacy of her apparent prophecies - which were never written down - Baba Vanga has become a cult figure among conspiracy theorists after several of her reported pronouncements appeared to come true.

For example, the Daily Mail states how she once predicted "horror" for the United State, warning in 1989 that "the American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds". Many believe this to be a prediction of the September 11 attacks in 2001.

Baba Vanga's supposed predictions are said to run until the year 5079 - the year she believes the world will come to an end.

Shall we just all agree to cancel our New Year's celebrations now?
