As tensions escalate between Iran and Israel in what analysts are calling the most serious military confrontation in the Middle East since the 1991 Gulf War, a Brazilian figure known as “Living Nostradamus” has drawn renewed attention for claiming to have forecast the conflict in advance.

Athos Salomé, 38, a self-described psychic who has gained media attention in recent years for predicting global events, referred back to earlier public statements in which he claimed that a major military incident between Israel and Iran was imminent.

Salomé has previously claimed to have predicted the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the death of Queen Elizabeth II, and Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter.

And in a February 2023 interview with Romanian broadcaster ProTV, Salomé said that a “catastrophe” would occur between Israel and Iran.

He later told The Daily Star that his prediction began to materialize on April 1, 2024, following a suspected Israeli airstrike on Iran’s diplomatic compound in Damascus, Syria. The strike killed seven people, including members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Iran responded on April 13 by launching over 300 drones and missiles toward Israeli territory.

Last October, the medium warned: "The worst is yet to come, as the great leaders, adherents of occultism, use these practices to achieve surgical precision and choose the exact moment for their attacks and major events. The strategies are meticulously calculated based on the 13-month lunar calendar, ensuring that each move is executed at the ideal moment to maximise its impact."

In a statement to The Express last week, Salomé shared further claims about the conflict, alleging the existence of secret operations and advanced technologies that he says were involved in the exchange.

Among the claims, Salomé alleged the presence of undisclosed drone bases, stating: “A few hours before the attack, Israeli fighter jets infiltrated drones into Iranian civilian territory. They aimed at disrupting radar systems and preconditioning for surgical strikes.”

He also asserted that artificial intelligence was used to modify drone flight paths mid-operation to evade detection and signal jamming. “Drones and aircraft were equipped with AI systems that adjusted routes in real time, creating phantom targets that rendered Iranian defenses ineffective,” he said.

In terms of psychological operations, Salomé claimed that targeted information campaigns were underway. “Synchronised psychological warfare has been reported,” he said, suggesting that select narratives were being circulated in the media to undermine the Iranian government domestically.

Additionally, he alleged American involvement through intelligence-sharing. “American satellites provided real-time surveillance for the operation. This was coordinated through a joint intelligence team based in Jordan, with direct involvement from both U.S. and Israeli military personnel,” he said.

These claims have not been independently verified. Officials from the U.S., Israel, or Iran have not publicly confirmed or commented on any of the allegations made by Salomé.

However, as we've seen in the early hours of Tuesday, June 24, tensions between Israel and Iran have only continued to rise - with both sides breaking an alleged ceasefire agreement, much to the displeasure of President Donald Trump, who boldly announced to reporters that neither country "knows what the f*** they're doing."

Salomé’s prior statements have attracted quite a following online, garnering him over 200,000 followers on Instagram. Nevertheless, he remains a controversial figure, with many of his forecasts difficult to verify or tied to broad interpretations.

Despite this, media outlets continue to cover his claims during major global events.

As of now, diplomatic efforts are ongoing to prevent further escalation between Iran and Israel, while international observers monitor the regional implications of recent military actions.
