Shocking moment man dressed as Nazi hit woman in the face with beer stein after being denied entry to Georgia bar

A disturbing scene unfolded in downtown Athens, Georgia, on Friday night when a man dressed in a Nazi uniform clashed with patrons at a local bar and ended up assaulting a woman. The shocking incident was captured in a viral video and has since drawn significant attention on social media.

In the video, the man can be seen wearing a replica uniform of Hitler’s German Gestapo secret police force, complete with a peaked cap, black jacket, white shirt, black tie, and a silver cross necklace. He stood in the bar’s doorway, holding an empty beer stein in his right hand, while a woman confronted him, shouting for him to leave the venue. She shoved him out into the street, saying, “get the f*** out,” as he laughed in response to the outrage he had stirred.

As the situation continued, other bar patrons became involved. One woman shouted, “No one here is going to put up with that st. You gotta go,” while others echoed their anger. A man nearby, staring at the man in the Nazi uniform, exclaimed, “What the f*,” visibly stunned by the sight. He then turned to his friend, holding his head in disbelief, and added, “Insane.”

Tensions rise as violence erupts

The verbal confrontation quickly escalated into violence. After the woman shoved the man, he grabbed her by the arm and struck her in the face with the beer stein that he had been holding. The woman reportedly suffered a broken nose, a black eye, and required stitches following the attack.

In the aftermath of the assault, another bystander filmed the incident, saying, “This is terrible. Is this serious?” as the chaos unfolded before him. Meanwhile, the man dressed in the Nazi uniform continued to laugh and smirk at the outrage he had caused. One patron shouted, “What the f*** is your problem?” as the situation became even more heated.

Police involvement and legal implications

Police were eventually called to the scene, and images taken later show the man speaking to officers. A spokesperson for the Athens Police Department confirmed that a man had been arrested for aggravated assault and simple battery, though they did not confirm whether the individual in custody was the same man filmed wearing the Nazi uniform.

In Georgia, there are no specific laws banning Nazi symbols, though other states such as New York and California have stricter regulations in place regarding their use. New York state, for example, banned the display of swastikas on public property in 2021, while California has criminalized the use of Nazi symbols when intended to intimidate or terrorize individuals.

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department is continuing its investigation.
