A woman in the UK was so angry about missing out on a McDonald's breakfast by just minutes that she called the police, the Mirror reports.

The woman, whose name is not known, had been waiting to be served at the drive-thru but didn't make the UK's 11:00AM cut off time by the time she was served.

When she was refused a McMuffin meal, the woman called police in West Sussex, England, saying it was "unfair".

Naturally, the police were very displeased to learn about the trivial nature of her complaint and gave her "words of advice" about calling them.

Sharing the story on Twitter, Mid Sussex Neighbourhood Policing Director Darren Taylor said:

"A call @11.30 this morning from an angry lady who stated that due to the queue at the McDonalds drive thru in EG, by the time she got to the window the breakfast service had stopped and she couldn't order a breakfast.

"The lady was given words of advice about ringing the Police."

Speaking to The Sun, Inspector Taylor said: "This, of course, upset her and she wanted us to speak to McDonald’s about the situation as she felt it was unfair.

"We kindly informed her this was an incident which she should take up with McDonald’s and was not a police matter and that we would not be investigating her complaint."

Several people responded to Inspector Taylor's tweet about the woman's trivial complaint, with one joking: "To be fair, I had a sausage and egg piece of heaven this morning and I would have been well narked if I’d missed it. We also got there at 10.20 and there was no queue."

Another said: "Oh come on Inspector, this is clearly an emergency! Getting your McCafe latte & egg McMuffin before 11 a.m. is clearly an emergency. Otherwise, you'll have to go to Greggs!"

A third said: "I bet that isn't the first time someone has [rung] the Police. To complain about McDonald's."

A fourth responded: "No...! You really couldn't make up the behavior of some people. I mean what did she actually expect the Police to do???"
