A woman who gave birth at the age of 70 has posed with her twins in a set of incredible photos.

Safina Namukwaya gave birth to a boy and girl via cesarian section at a fertility center in Kampala, Uganda in late November following a lengthy IVF treatment.

The process involved removing an egg from her ovaries and fertilizing it with sperm in a laboratory before returning it to her womb to grow and develop.

After remaining in the hospital since the birth of her twins, on Saturday, the older mom was allowed to finally take her son Kato Shafique Kangave, and her daughter Shakira Babiyre Nabagala home.

"At 70, Safina Namukwaya's maternal love blossoms into a miracle, cradling twins alongside Dr. Edward Tamale-Sali," a post published on the hospital's Facebook page said alongside a photo of the proud mother and her doctor.

"Their hands hold not just babies, but gems of hope, proving that a mother's love transcends time and age. In this emblematic moment at Women's Hospital International and Fertility Centre, the joy of motherhood shines unblemished, echoing the resilient spirit of Africa where every dream is nurtured with love and care," it added.

At a press conference before Namukwaya was discharged, Tamale-Sali assured everyone that the new mom was fit and healthy to return back to her rural village.

After revealing that she was up and walking the same day she delivered her newborns, the healthcare specialist also joked that she's now almost "playing football."

"She’s fit, her blood pressure is normal, she’s not diabetic — she’s a very healthy woman and the whole of Africa is rejoicing for her," he said as per an interview with TODAY.

He also added that he can't help but be overwhelmed by the love she has for her babies.

"She can’t stop staring at them," he told the outlet, adding that she is a "loving" and "playful" mother.

Tamale-Sali allegedly also told Namukwaya that "if [she] wants another child, we're here."

It was reported back in December that the 70-year-old faced little to no complications, despite the recommended age for IVF being 43 and under.

Posting to Facebook after the successful procedure, the hospital said: "We at Women's Hospital International and Fertility Centre would like to thank NTV Uganda for helping capture this historic event."

They continued: "At 70 years, Safina Namukwaya delivers twins today: Women's Hospital International and Fertility Centre Sets African Record! Celebrating our 20th anniversary, we've achieved the extraordinary – delivering twins to Africa's oldest mother aged 70! This historic event, a baby boy and girl, not only marks our two decades of leadership in IVF, but also sets us apart as the premier fertility center in Africa."

They concluded the post by saying: "Namukwaya delivered her babies today on Wednesday 29th November at 12:04PM. Mother and babies are all well."

While the newborns were 31 weeks premature, the medical facility reported that they were in a "stable" condition at the time and have been flourishing ever since.

Congratulations to the family!
