A woman has sparked outrage after she drove over graves at a military veterans cemetery on Mother's Day.

The incident took place at Houston National Cemetery and was filmed by a shocked passerby who noticed that the woman was brazenly driving over the graves, showing no respect for the deceased.

The woman drove over the graves shortly after a flyover from the Lone Star Flight Museum to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day, which marked the end of World War II in Europe.

This WW2 veteran got a mohawk to cheer people up during lockdown:

"I was shocked, and never would have expected that to happen," Jeremiah Johnston, the man who recorded the footage, told KTRK. "This is Houston, and there are crazy drivers, and I never would have expected to see them going through a cemetery. Especially when everyone was there to pay their respects during a patriotic flyover."

Another witness Amanda Hill said that the woman was attempting to leave the area as soon as the flyover ended.

"She tried to back up, and then went up on the curb of the section where my grandparents are buried," Hill said. "[The woman] couldn't get around some cars, and then she started running over the graves."

"She heard us yelling at her to stop, and just kept doing it," Hill added, saying that the woman must have driven over dozens of veterans' graves. "My mother approached the van, and the driver told her she had to get out."

According to Fox News, as of today, the driver has not yet been identified, and the Harris County Constable's Office told KTRK that they have yet to receive any official complaints about the incident.

This news comes as a 104-year-old World War II veteran celebrated his birthday after beating coronavirus.
