One baby made a rock 'n' roll entrance to the world this weekend.

Luan Figueiró was born on Saturday, May 17, in Curitiba, Brazil, surrounded by the audience of a long-awaited Metallica concert.

Despite being heavily pregnant, mom Joice M Figueiró didn't want to miss out on the show. She'd already waited over two years to see legendary rockers James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo live in concert after their South American tour was postponed due to the pandemic.

So - at 39 weeks pregnant - the tattoo artist and her partner headed to the gig, hoping that their baby could hang in a couple more hours until the show was over.

But Luan had other ideas. Midway through the performance, Joice - who was thankfully sat in a special area to protect her from the crowd - began to have contractions.

In an interview with The Washington Post, the new mom explained how she tried to hold off for as long as possible before calling for support. When the contractions became too much to bear though, she summoned the venue's medical staff and they carried her to their medical tent on a stretcher.

An ambulance was called, but it was too late. Before they could arrive, the healthy baby was born - fittingly - as Metallica performed their legendary hit 'Enter Sandman'.

Shortly after, the mother and son were transported to Hospital e Maternidade Brígida to double-check that they were all okay.

Unsurprisingly, the news of Luan's incredible birth spread like wildfire, even reaching Metallica themselves, who shared the moment on their Instagram Story.

Meanwhile, before settling on 'Luan', Joice did toy with the idea of giving her son a name that paid homage to his incredible birth.

She joked that he'd be called "James Ulrich" - a combination of singer James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich - but ultimately decided to go for the more traditional Luan.

However, she might still work a bit of Metallica into his name, telling The Washington Post that: "Since this name question has brought up great appeal and we haven’t registered him, we’re thinking of maybe adding a [middle] name and putting some homage in there."

Congratulations to the family on their rockin' new addition!
