A man from Iowa is on the naughty list thanks to his accidentally obscene Christmas lights display.

TikTok user Amber Ann Zink shared a video of the embarrassing decorations titled "Just a tiny mistake" on the social media platform.

In the clip, Amber's husband has placed the light-up Santa Claus on their roof - but forgotten to tie his hand up so he would be waving. Instead, his hand hangs around his belt.

The video is overlaid with text explaining what went wrong. "My husband forgot to zip-tie Santa's hand up to WAVE," Amber wrote. "And now it's obscene."
Since being posted two weeks ago on November 15, the video has been watched over 36 million times and amassed over 142,000 comments. Needless to say, users were quick to join in the joke about Amber's X-rated Santa.

"Naughty list this year eh," wrote Duolingo, the language-learning app.

"Jingle those bells!" added another user.

Meanwhile, many users commented on Amber's choice of song - 'Santa Claus is coming to town' - which she used to accompany the video.

"Excellent song choice," wrote one user, before another added: "Gives new meaning to the song that's for sure."

Since the explosion of interest in her Christmas lights, Amber has made a follow-up video in which she quizzes her husband on whether the x-rated Santa really was an accident like he claimed.

The video - titled "Did he do it on purpose???" - shows Amber's husband kneeling on the roof by his display while she calls questions up to him.

"Tell the truth, did you do it on purpose?" she asks him.

Her husband points out how he tied Santa's hands specifically so it would make an obscene gesture. "Yep," he says.

"You told me it was a mistake. Was that true?" she asks, to which he admits: "It was a lie."

Thankfully, Amber doesn't seem to take the situation too seriously and laughs along with her husband.

Whether people will be inspired to replicate Amber's x-rated X-Mas display in their own homes remains to be seen. One TikTok user is convinced they will.

"All the husbands watching this are taking notes for when they want to decorate this year," they wrote.
