A British woman has taken drastic action after being subject to racism: she has set up a GoFundMe so that the people can telling her to leave the country can pay for it.
Jordene Phillips, 28, who is from East London, said that she has had enough of racism and has now set up the page to raise $6,483( £5,000) so that she can return to her ancestral home of Jamaica, The Sun reports.
She wrote on the GoFundMe page: "I am a black woman who hates living in London due to the racist idiots who tell me to go back to my country. This Gofundme is for them.
"They want me to go. I will happily leave. The British Government brought my ancestors here and lied to them. Now I'm born in this crap. They see my island as a holiday destination but tell my people it is violent and evil.
"They have convinced young British born Jamaicans that there's no opportunities there. Listen, I'm done talking init. PAY FOR MY TICKET DEN SINCE YUH BAD! [sic]"
At the time of writing, the fundraiser has amassed $437 (£337) from a total of 29 donors, some of whom have written on the page to say that they are not racist, they simply support the cause.
Tara Waugh wrote alongside her donation: "Don't use the money to leave your home country. F**k the racists. Go on holiday."
However, some did agree that Phillips should leave the UK before Brexit happens.
Jonathan Nilens wrote: "Girl get out of that cursed country ASAP before Brexit happens."
Charles Duncan added: "Not a racist, but happy to help you escape from that cursed country."
Phillips then took to the GoFundMe page to reveal that racists on Twitter had been photoshopping fake donations to her fundraiser without actually contributing money for her to leave.
Meanwhile, a number of people have donated to Phillips' fundraiser anonymously.
