A woman has been sentenced to a month in prison after she hurled a burrito bowl at a Chipotle employee.
On September 5, Rosemary Hayne was caught on video throwing food in the face of a worker named Emily Russell in the fast food restaurant located in Parma, Ohio, as reported by CNN.
The 39-year-old pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge and was informed at a hearing last week that she was sentenced to 180 days in jail due to her inexcusable actions.
However, Parma Municipal Court Judge Timothy Gilligan gave the mom-of-four an option to instead spend 30 days in jail and work the remainder of her sentence, 60 days, at a restaurant, according to FOX8 News.
Watch the incident below:At the sentencing, the judge asked her if she’d like to "walk in [Russell’s] shoes for two months and learn how people should treat people, or do you want to do your jail time?" per CBS News.
Hayne responded: "I’d like to walk in her shoes," and is now required to work at least 20 hours a week at any fast food place of her choice.
Her attorney, Joe O'Malley, spoke to the publication about his client's actions, and said: "Truly regrets her actions and the pain that it caused."
He then added in an email: "My client is grateful for the opportunity to get a job to reduce her sentence and demonstrate her true remorse for her behavior at Chipotle."

The 26-year-old worker - who had worked at Chipotle for more than four years - opened up about the incident during an interview with CBS MoneyWatch, and said that she was "relieved" that Hayne would learn to see the world through a different perspective.
"I've been saying she's lucky she's working 20 hours a week - I was working 65 hours a week," she said of her schedule at Chipotle at the time of the incident.
Russell expressed that while Hayne apologized to her at the sentencing, she didn't believe she was genuine and refused to make eye contact with her assaulter.
"She said she had a bad day, but that's not the way you react when you have a bad day - to throw food in someone's face," she added.

Russell - who was earning $19.25 an hour - revealed that she left her job at Chipotle a month later because she felt like the restaurant chain never supported her as they allegedly did not reach out.
She also disclosed that she had to work an additional four hours after Hayne tossed the burrito bowl in her face.
"I was in shock - my customers had seen me get food thrown in my face," she noted, sharing that the police were able to track Hayne down because she had ordered her meal online, so the diner had her contact information.
The young worker now works at Raising Cane restaurant as a crew member and is hoping to get promoted to manager.
"No one should have to go through any physical attack," she shared. "I want everyone to know it's OK to have a bad day, but not to do anything like this."
