A woman who has tied the knot with her comforter has opened up about the special relationship she has with it.

As reported by the Daily Star, on Valentine's Day in 2019, Pascale Sellick threw an "open wedding ceremony" for her loyal partner who she fell in love with "at first sight".

The woman married her "single" quilt cover in Exeter, UK, and was joined by family, friends, community members, and strangely her boyfriend for the special day.

Since the joyous occasion, Pascale has revealed that she hopes her love story will teach others that you don't need a partner to feel loved.

Watch her profess her love for her comforter below:

Prior to the big day, the married woman spoke with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby for an interview on This Morning alongside her comforter fiancé and their wedding planner Anna Fitzgerald.

While speaking about her affection for the duvet, she explained that she "met" the item "a long, long time ago" to which the host then asked why it was so special to her.

"I had other duvets before but I'm always loyal to this one, it gives me warmth and comfort," Pascale declared while hugging the duvet.

"Basically, it gives me warmth and comfort. It's always there for me in times of sadness and happiness," she said, before sharing that it's "not sexual" but instead "like a friendship".

Pascale then spoke about how her then-upcoming ceremony symbolized self-love and self-care and highlights loneliness in society - especially during Valentine’s Day.

"It’s kind of a message around Valentine’s people can feel sometimes a little bit lonely, so it’s like actually, you know what, take some time for self-worth, self-care and have some time under your duvet and marry your bedding. Why not?", she said. "Everybody loves their duvet!"

Even the morning TV host shared that he "loves" his comforter and disclosed that he didn’t want to get up in the morning for work. He and his co-presenter then admitted that they wished they'd brought their duvets to work for the interview too.

Meanwhile, Anna - the wedding planner who helped to organize the music and the after-party - invited members of the public to the wedding and said anyone who had never been a bridesmaid was welcome to come and be part of the day.

She explained that the dress code for the momentous event was, of course, dressing gowns, teddy bears, onesies, and slippers.

Later on, the hosts asked Pascale about what her significant other, Johnny, thinks about her wedding, to which she said: "Johnny, my boyfriend, understands I'm marrying the duvet for art and to come across a message, we have a really loving relationship.

"He's not jealous of my duvet, in fact, he's very proud of me," she stated before jokingly saying: "My duvet is single at the moment, when I get married, it will get a double."
