Andrew Tate has been hit with charges related to the ongoing investigation against him in Romania.
BBC News has reported on Tuesday (June 20), that the controversial influencer has been charged with rape, human trafficking, and forming an organized crime group to sexually exploit women.
His brother, Tristan Tate, has also been indicted on charges, per Sky News.
The brothers - along with two Romanian female suspects - had been under house arrest as the investigation continued.
In the latest development, Romanian prosecutors have agreed to send all four suspects to trial.
This means that the Tate brothers and the two female suspects will now be sent to trial by Romanian authorities.
This decision comes as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of severe abuse against seven women. All four suspects vehemently deny the charges laid against them.
Initially detained from December 29 of last year until March 31, the four have since been placed under house arrest by a Bucharest court.
Andrew Tate, 36, faces accusations of rape involving one of the victims, while Tristan is being held accountable for allegedly instigating violence.
The impending trial, however, will not commence immediately. According to Romanian law, the case will first be presented to the court's preliminary chamber. Here, a judge will examine the case files over a 60-day period to ensure all legal processes have been followed correctly.
