A team of hunky Australian firefighters have teamed up with a group of utterly adorable animals to collaborate for the most must-have calendar of 2021.

If you need further proof that 2021 is going to be MUCH better than 2020, then just check out these saucy/cute snaps.

Entering its 28th year, the Australian Firefighters Calendar (which is the most popular calendar in the world), is back - and combines so many things we all love.

Check out some behind-the-scenes footage of the 2021 calendar shoot:

Featuring brave and heroic firefighters, beautiful wildlife, and killer abs, this calendar is a must-have for any... animal lover.

The pictures show an impressive array of gorgeous specimens... posing alongside some of Australia's wonderful creatures - such as kangaroos, koalas, dogs, and cats.

And just in case you needed another reason to purchase the calendar, all the proceeds will be donated to native animal charities that are vital to supporting the county's fragile wildlife - which was left devastated by the catastrophic bushfires of late 2019 and early 2020.

Now in its 28th year, the world’s most popular calendar is back for 2021. And after the year we’ve all had, the Australian Firefighters Calendar is certainly a sight for sore eyes. The annual calendar sets out to change the mood of doom and gloom from the past 8-months. 2019 and early 2020 was a particularly devastating time, and the world grieved with Australia as they suffered through catastrophic bushfires, and an estimated loss of 1 billion animals from the diverse native wildlife. While the fires may have gone, the destroyed bushland has made it impossible for many of the displaced wildlife to return to their natural habitat.

Despite the fires being extinguished, many of the wild animals are still unable to return to their natural habitats after the infernos left nothing but devastated bushland in their wake.

One of the centers to benefit from the calendar is the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital, where Dr Stephen Van Mil and his team are building Australia’s first mobile Wildlife hospital.

This will allow animals to receive medical treatment no matter where they are.

David Rogers, director of the Australian Firefighters Calendar, said: "Coronavirus was never going to stop us from bringing smiles to faces across the world.

"You will see all your favorite Australian firefighters with every variety of animals we could photograph, from koalas and kangaroos, to rescue kittens and rottweiler puppies. We have got something for everyone!

"No one was left unaffected watching our precious wildlife trying to escape from the bushfires, and the loss of wildlife is beyond comprehension.

"Everyone at the Australian Firefighters Calendar decided that all our efforts needed to be focussed on the wildlife this year."

Rogers continued: "This year our popular Animal Lovers Calendar will be more important than ever. It will play a vital role in treating injured wildlife from the recent fires.

"Funds from last year’s 2020 calendar helped pay for new equipment and supplies for nearly six months.

"Dr Michael Pyne, head vet at Currumbin Wildlife hospital, and his team of vets and volunteers, worked around the clock to save streams of koalas, wombats, kangaroos and birdlife.

"As you hang your 2021 calendars on your wall and turn to January 2021, it’s a great reminder that next year is going to be a fresh start for everyone."
