Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared a defiant video to social media on Friday night, as he told the nation: "We are all here."

According to CNN, the video was shared to Facebook on Friday night (February 25) and was titled: "We are here. We are in Kyiv. We are defending Ukraine."

In the video, Zelensky can be seen surrounded by other Ukrainian government officials, as they stand in the streets of the nation's capital of Kyiv.

You can watch the video below:

In the video, Zelensky says (translated via CNN):

"Good evening to all. The leader of the bloc is here, the head of the President's office is here, Prime Minister [Denys] Schmyal is here, [Adviser to the head of the President's Office Mykhailo] Podoliak is here, the president is here. We are all here. Our military is here, citizens are here.

"We are all here defending our independence, our state and it will remain so.

"Glory to our defenders! Glory to our women defenders! Glory to Ukraine!"

The rest of the group then says: "Glory to heroes!"

The video has since gone viral across multiple social media platforms after being widely shared by users.

In another video shared on early Saturday morning (February 26), Zelensky once again vowed to continue defending the country.

"I am here. We are not putting down arms. We will be defending our country, because our weapon is truth, and our truth is that this is our land, our country, our children, and we will defend all of this," he said. "That is it. That's all I wanted to tell you. Glory to Ukraine."

He captioned the video [translated], "Do not believe the fakes" - seemingly in reference to the circulating rumors that he had fled the country.

Another defiant member of the Ukrainian parliament, Oleksiy Honcharenko, has also spoken out about his intentions to defend Ukraine from Russian forces.

Speaking to CNN, Honcharenko revealed that he went to the Ukrainian police headquarters in order to get a gun, telling the outlet: "I'm not a professional soldier at all, but I can try and I can do my best and I will do it if Russian forces enter Kyiv."

Additionally, while holding a Kalashnikov rifle, the former Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko told CNN: "Everybody should understand, Putin declared a war, not for Ukraine. Putin declared a war to the whole world."

"[Putin] is just simply crazy. He's just simply evil to come here to kill Ukrainian[s]," Poroshenko added.
