An email signed simply ‘A’ and attributed to ‘The Invisible Man’ is one of the more mysterious documents to be released in the latest Epstein files, for reasons that most can clearly see.
The email, sent to Ghislaine Maxwell, also asks if any new ‘inappropriate friends’ have been found.
Mysterious Epstein Files email leads to further speculation
The email is among the latest release of files pertaining to the disgraced pedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein and his long-time friend and employee Ghislaine Maxwell.
The emails sent do not imply any wrongdoing and could well be false or inaccurate, so it is important not to draw any direct conclusions from the raw files.
However, the contents of the email have led some to conclude it may have been sent by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew.
It was sent from the address [email protected] and reads: “I am up here at Balmoral Summer Camp for the Royal Family,
“Activities take place all day and I am totally exhausted at the end of each day.
“The Girls are completely shattered and I will have to give them an early night today as it is getting tiring splitting them up all the time!
“How’s LA?
“Have you found me some new inappropriate friends?”
The email is later signed off as simply ‘A’.
In a response, Maxwell said that she had found only ‘appropriate friends’-
Another email address attributed to ‘Duke of York’ in Epstein’s book
A separate email address - [email protected] - is listed in Epstein’s phone book as the ‘Duke of York’ and an image of this has been shared in another file within the release.
Again, the emails do not imply any wrongdoing.
In October, Andrew Mountbatter-Windsor was stripped of his titles after ongoing probes into his relationship with Epstein - he has also denied any wrongdoing and says that he did not ‘see, witness or suspect any behaviour of the sort that subsequently led to Epstein’s] arrest and conviction’.
Further emails show another exchange between ‘The Invisible Man’ and Maxwell, in which a third party discusses a trip to Peru along with discussion of meetings with ‘girls’.
In a forwarded message, it says: “I just gave Andrew your telephone no.”
‘A’ responded: “I will ring him today if I can”
Later in March 2002 another email from Maxwell forwarded a list of requests from ‘A’ that reads:“Some sight seeing some 2 legged sight seeing (read intelligent pretty fun and from good families) and he will be very happy.
“I know I can rely on you to show him a wonderful time and that you will only introduce him to friends that you can trust and rely on to be friendly and discreet and fun.”
‘A’ is also referred to as ‘a very English sounding gentleman on the phone’.
Photos from the time confirm that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor took a trip to Peru around that time.
