Kim Jong-un's younger sister has reportedly made some less-than-flattering comments about US President Joe Biden.

As reported by news.com.au, her comments come after Biden strengthened the United State's defense of South Korea from the North.

On Wednesday, 80-year-old Biden took part in a joint news conference at the White House alongside South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol to discuss details of the "Washington Declaration".

Per CNN, the POTUS made a new commitment on behalf of the US to deploy a nuclear-armed submarine in South Korea - the first agreement of its kind since the 1980s.

"Our mutual defense treaty is iron clad and that includes our commitment to extend a deterrence – and that includes the nuclear threat, the nuclear deterrent," Biden said, adding that any "nuclear attack by North Korea against the United States or its allies … or partners is unacceptable and will result in the end of whatever regime [takes] such an action."

Now, the younger sister of Kim Jong-un - 35-year-old Kim Yo-jong - has reportedly responded to Biden's announcement.

A top foreign policy official in her own right, Yo-jong described Biden and Yeol's deal as a "hostile and aggressive will of action" against North Korea, per news.com.au.

Branding President Yeol a "fool", Yo-jong would then berate Biden, saying: "It may be taken as a nonsensical remark from the person in his dotage who is not at all capable of taking the responsibility for security and the future of the US, an old man with no future, as it is too much for him to serve out [the] two-year remainder of his office term."

Yo-jong's comments were reportedly published by North Korean state media.

She went on to warn the US and South Korea that the deal would lead to "more serious danger" for the region - calling it "it is an act that can thus never be welcome".

"The more the enemies are dead set on staging nuclear war exercises, and the more nuclear assets they deploy in the vicinity of the Korean Peninsula, the stronger the exercise of our right to self-defense will become in direct proportion to them," Yo-jong said.

Sky News reports that North Korea has warned both the US and South Korea that if one of its test missiles were to be shot down, it would be considered a "declaration of war".
