OnlyFans model speaks out following claims she's girlfriend who led cops to 'El Mencho'
An OnlyFans creator has firmly rejected claims that she was the secret lover who helped authorities track down a feared Mexican cartel boss to a hideout where he was ultimately killed.
In local reports, influencer María Julissa was alleged to have alerted officials to the whereabouts of notorious crime figure Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, widely known as El Mencho, before his deadly confrontation with security forces.
Mexican media claimed that Julissa and El Mencho had been romantically involved, links she has strongly denied.
The rumours escalated after a threatening banner, allegedly from cartel members, appeared publicly.
Jaliso cartel's angry reaction
The message read: “B***h Maria Julissa.
"You bit the hand that feeds you, you sent the marines after Chelo because they stole your truck."
It was signed CJNG, referencing the Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación.
Responding to her 3.5 million Instagram followers, Julissa said: “I want to make it absolutely clear: I have nothing to do with that situation.”
She added that 'the information circulating is false and unfounded,' urging people not to spread unverified claims.
“Do not fall for fake news and always consult official and reliable sources,” she wrote.
She also criticised media outlets for sensationalism and publicly called out publications that had named her as a suspect.
Mexican defense secretary confirms tracking of cartel leader's girlfriend
Authorities later confirmed that El Mencho, leader of the CJNG, had been located in a scenic village in western Mexico and killed during a violent military operation.
Mexico’s Defence Secretary, Ricardo Trevilla, explained that intelligence agents had tracked one of the cartel leader’s girlfriends to the remote holiday area.
However, officials have not disclosed the identity of the woman who led them to him.
Despite the absence of official confirmation, speculation continued online, with social media users claiming Julissa was linked to the executed crime boss.
Following El Mencho’s death, violence surged across parts of Mexico in acts of retaliation, leaving at least 73 people dead.
Trevilla said investigators had discovered that the unidentified woman had travelled to Tapalpa, roughly 130 kilometres from Guadalajara, shortly before the raid.
She reportedly met with the cartel leader and then departed, leaving him at the property with his security team.
The operation to capture him involved coordinated land and air forces, culminating in a fierce clash in the mountainous hideout.
His death has since triggered widespread unrest, with dramatic footage showing the extent of the chaos.
