Police in Hong Kong have revealed that more body parts belonging to the slain model Abby Choi have been discovered.
Over the weekend, it was reported by CNN that the 28-year-old model's former in-laws had been arrested after dismembered body parts were found in a rental unit in the Tai Po district on Friday (February 24).
Choi - a successful model and influencer who boasted over 80,000 Instagram followers at the time of her death - had been reported missing on Wednesday (February 22).
After police searched an apartment that was reportedly being rented by her former father-in-law, officials found the model's legs inside a refrigerator. Pieces of her body were also found next to an electric saw, a meat slicer, and some clothing. Sky News reports that the model's ID and credit cards were also found in the unit.
Superintendent Alan Chung said at the time: "Police have found that the flat was arranged by cold-blooded killers meticulously.
"Tools that are used to dismember human bodies were found in the flat, including meat grinders, chainsaws, long raincoats, gloves, and masks."
Despite initially being unable to locate the model's head, BBC News reports that police have found the model's skull inside of a soup pot on Sunday (February 26). Other body parts were found in the same location - 17 miles from her last known whereabouts in Kowloon City.
At the weekend, Superintendent Chung confirmed that her ex-husband, Alex Kwong, was arrested at a pier. Police believe he was attempting to "abscond" the city in a speedboat.
Kwong's parents and brother have also been arrested in connection with the model's death.
Per the New York Post, local media has reported that Kwong, his father, and his brother have all been charged with murder at this time. Kwong's mother has been charged with obstruction.
All four family members have been denied bail.
A fifth suspected has also been arrested.
BBC News adds that Choi shared two children with Kwong, and also had two children with Chris Tam, whom she had been in a relationship with since 2016.
Although no motive for Choi's killing has been officially declared, police have told the press that they believe Choi and her former in-laws had several disputes involving "huge sums" of money. Superintendent Chung says that Choi was facing financial disputes involving tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars, and her ex-husband's family was reportedly unhappy with how she handled her finances.
Choi was a popular model and influencer on social media, boasting over 80,000 followers at the time of her death. She has also modeled for various magazines and is often pictured mingling with celebrities.
