The royal family of Monaco is spreading festive cheer with a 2025 Christmas card featuring Prince Albert, Princess Charlene, and their adorable twin children, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella.
But it wasn't the royal family who stole the show...
The card, released on December 7, showcases the family in a cozy and intimate setting, making it one of the most charming royal holiday photos in recent memory.
A Cozy Family Moment
In the picture, the Monaco royals are seen gathered in front of a crackling fireplace, with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree glowing softly in the background.
Princess Charlene, alongside Princess Gabriella, is joined on the couch by the family’s beloved dog, Harley, adding an extra touch of warmth to the festive scene.
“The Princely Family is pleased to share their greeting card with you,” read a message posted by the courtiers beneath the photo, which was taken by renowned photographer Vanessa von Zitzewitz.
The greeting was shared in multiple languages, including French, Monégasque, English, and Italian, reflecting the international reach of Monaco's royal family.
Harley the Dog steals the show
This year’s card also brings back a familiar face: Harley, the family dog.
Harley was last seen in the 2019 Christmas card, making him a beloved member of the royal family.
The canine companion’s presence has become a regular feature in the family’s celebrations, showcasing just how much of an important part of their lives he is, per PEOPLE.
While previous holiday photos of Prince Albert and Princess Charlene have leaned toward a more formal and polished look, the royal couple decided to go for a more relaxed vibe in recent years.
Their 2024 Christmas card featured them dressed in cozy sweaters, a departure from the more traditional royal attire typically seen in such holiday portraits.
This year, they’ve continued with this trend, opting for a simpler, more laid-back aesthetic that seems to better match the intimate holiday spirit.
Princess Charlene’s Recent Engagement with Harley
Princess Charlene’s connection with Harley goes beyond the holiday card.
On November 2, the princess participated in the second annual Rokethon solidarity walk, an event dedicated to raising awareness about animal abandonment and promoting responsible adoption.
In her role as President of the Monaco Society for the Protection of Animals, Princess Charlene brought Harley along, cradling him in her arms throughout the event.
The solidarity walk, which also aims to support animal shelters, took place at the Fontvieille Big Top.
Princess Charlene was all smiles during the event, which was attended by her brother, Gareth Wittstock, who serves as Vice-President of the Monaco SPA.
