Prince Harry made quite the impact last night during his appearance at Global Citizen's Vax Live concert.
The event marked the Duke of Sussex's first public appearance since his grandfather's funeral last month, and saw the 36-year-old prince receive a standing ovation from the crowd of vaccinated frontline workers.
As he was announced to the stage, the words "Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex" were projected in giant letters across the big screen.
Per the Daily Mail, the purpose of the star-studded Los Angeles concert was to call for donations to be made to help 27 million healthcare workers around the world receive a Covid-19 vaccination.
Additionally, per the Global Citizen website, the event aimed to "inspire vaccine confidence worldwide and help get the COVID-19 vaccines to everyone, everywhere".
Global Citizen last week announced that both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are the Campaign Chairs of Vax Live.
Speaking at the So-Fi Stadium, Prince Harry greeted the crowd by saying: Hi everybody. We are at a defining moment in the global fight against Covid-19."
The Duke then went on to sing the praises of the healthcare workers in attendance: "Tonight is a celebration of each of you here, the vaccinated frontline workers in the audience and the millions of frontline heroes around the world.
"You spent the last year battling courageously and selflessly to protect us all. You served and sacrificed, put yourselves in harm's way and with bravery knowing the costs. We owe you an incredible depth of gratitude, thank you."
But staying true to the event's mission, Prince Harry then called for the vaccine to be "distributed to everyone everywhere", stating that the pandemic will not come to an end "unless we act collectively with an unprecedented commitment to our shared humanity".
"The virus does not respect borders and access to the vaccine cannot be determined by geography," he said, adding: "It must be accepted as a basic right for all and that is our starting point."
In his poignant and powerful address, the prince continued: "None of us should be comfortable thinking that we could be fine when so many others are suffering."
"When any suffer, we all suffer," he told the crowd.
The Duke concluded his speech by saying: "What we do in this moment will stand in history and tonight, we stand in solidarity with the millions of families across India who are battling a devastating second wave."
And as well as receiving a warm reception from the live crowd, people on social media have praised the prince for his appearance, with one fan writing: "[Harry] did what he does best, inspired people! Congratulations H on the lovely reception in the US!"
The show was recorded for broadcast at a later date, with A-listers such as Jennifer Lopez and Selena Gomez also appearing at the show.
