A musician is under investigation after his girlfriend died during an "extreme sex act."
A guitarist from Argentina is currently being investigated over the death of his girlfriend after what he claimed happened during an extreme sexual act.
The Daily Mail reported that Julio Moura, who was one of the co-founders of the legendary rock band Virus, and his girlfriend Andrea Rojas were involved in a "sexual game by means of hanging," which could be related to some form of erotic asphyxiation.
The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning at a home outside Buenos Aires.
Moura then decided to reach out to his former wife, Lucía Castelli, to let her know what had happened before she called the emergency services and rushed over to the place.
When the authorities got there, Rojas was pronounced dead and it was later determined that her body "showed signs of hanging," per local authorities who confirmed the details to local news channel TN.
The first responders allegedly found the 53-year-old "in a living room, lying on the floor, in a supine position, showing signs of hanging on the neck," the sources said before also adding that there were "injuries to the legs and a rope tied to a ceiling beam, as well as the existence of a ladder."
Officers also found drugs, alcohol, sexual objects, and whips at the residence, TN confirmed in their report.
Moura was said to have suffered a cut on his arm while trying to untie Rojas when he noticed something was wrong.
He was later treated in hospital for his injuries.
While no arrests have been made as of yet, the authorities are currently waiting for the results of an autopsy report and toxicology tests that were performed on the rockstar in order to proceed with the ongoing investigation.
Moura and his brothers, Federico Moura and Marcelo Moura, founded Virus in 1981.
