The 20-year-old cowgirl influencer gained widespread recognition on social media for her deep love of rodeo and western culture, earning her the affectionate title of “Mexico Rodeo Queen.”
With around 100,000 combined followers across Instagram and TikTok, she regularly shared glimpses of her life, including videos of horseback riding and barrel racing.
According to Mexican news outlet N+, Mireles sadly died in a car crash on Monday (March 10) in the northeastern Mexican state of Nuevo León, her family confirmed.
While further details surrounding the accident have yet to be disclosed, her grieving loved ones have requested privacy during this difficult time, per the outlet.
Following the devastating news, Mireles’ loved ones took to social media to honor her memory. "Niece Ana Valeria Mireles Villarreal, you will always live in our hearts," her uncle David González wrote on Facebook. "We will miss you so much."
Her close friend Cindy also posted an emotional tribute, expressing the deep pain of losing someone so cherished.
"I lack words to describe how much your departure hurts us, you leave us a huge void!!!" Cindy wrote on Instagram. "I am grateful that God allowed me to grow up with you and share so many good times, so many laughs and anecdotes that I will carry with me always."
She continued: "I will carry you in my memory and in my heart with that smiling face and so sweet. Wherever you went, you lit up the room with your energy and your light."
The content creator’s love for rodeo began at the young age of 8, and her dedication led to remarkable achievements in the sport, per The New York Post.
She was crowned Miss Rodeo Nuevo León 2020-2021 and later won the prestigious title of Miss Rodeo Mexico 2021-2022.
Her success extended beyond national recognition. In 2021, she was a finalist at a national pole racing event, and the following year, she proudly represented Mexico at an international rodeo competition in Wyoming.
The Mexican Rodeo Federation paid tribute to her impact on the sport, writing on Facebook: "Valeria was more than a rodeo queen; she was an ambassador of cowboy culture, an inspiration to many young women."
"Her smile lit up every arena, and her passion for rodeo was contagious. Although her passing leaves a void, her legacy will live on in our hearts and in the memory of rodeo," they added.
