Virginia Giuffre - the American woman who became one of the most prominent accusers of sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew - has said she’s been given just days to live following a serious car accident in Australia.

The emotional claim, made via Instagram, has sparked confusion as local authorities describe the incident as a minor crash — with no reported injuries.

"Four Days to Live": Giuffre's Shocking Instagram Post

In a concerning Instagram post shared Sunday, March 30, Giuffre posted a photo from a hospital bed showing extensive facial bruising.

She wrote that she had gone into kidney failure and was being transferred to a specialist urology hospital.

“I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live,” she said. “I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time.”

The 41-year-old added: “This year has been the worst start to a new year, but I won’t bore anyone with the details. But I think it's important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110kmh as we were slowing down for a turn, that no matter what your car is made of, it might as well be a tin can.”

“Thank you all for being the wonderful people of the world and for being a great part of my life," she added.

Police Downplay Incident as “Minor Crash”

However, Western Australia Police offered a very different version of events.

A spokesperson said the incident occurred in Neergabby, north of Perth, on March 24 just after 3PM.

“The Western Australia Police Force received a report of a minor crash which occurred between a bus and a car. The collision was reported by the bus driver the following day. The car sustained approximately A$2,000 worth of damage. There were no reported injuries as a result of the crash,” the spokesperson told The Mirror.

WA Police confirmed the driver of the car was a 41-year-old woman.

A source with knowledge of the situation told CNN that Giuffre is currently an inpatient at a Perth hospital, but is not in a life-threatening condition. While she does have the bruising shown in her photo, she has not informed the hospital staff what caused those injuries, according to the same source.

While Giuffre insists she has just days left to live, Western Australia authorities continue to refer to the March 24 incident as minor, with no injuries reported. Both the Western Australia Police and ambulance services initially said they had no records of the accident, but later confirmed a low-impact collision had occurred involving a school bus and a car.

Giuffre's spokesperson, Dini von Mueffling, also confirmed her hospitalization, saying in a statement: “Virginia has been in a serious accident and is receiving medical care in the hospital. She greatly appreciates the support and well wishes people are sending.”

The exact nature of her medical condition remains unconfirmed by healthcare professionals, and as of now, Giuffre’s Instagram posts remain the only source of claims regarding her prognosis.

Lawyer and Father Respond to Health Crisis

Brad Edwards, the U.S. attorney who previously represented Giuffre in her legal cases against Epstein’s associates, told MailOnline it was a "very bad situation."

“We’re hoping for better news in the coming days,” he said. “I hope she pulls through with good medical care.”

Her father, Sky Roberts, also expressed deep concern both publicly and privately.

In a heartfelt Instagram comment on her post, he wrote: “Virginia, my daughter, I love you and praying you get the correct treatment to live a long and healthy life. If there is anything in the world I can do to help you, please let me know. My spirit is with you now and holding your hand.”

Speaking to DailyMail.com, he added: “I’m sick to my stomach. I feel like crying because I love my daughter more than life. If there’s anything I could do, I’d do it.”

Estranged from Family, Living Alone in Perth

Giuffre’s last known address was a $1.9 million beachfront property in Ocean Reef, a northern suburb of Perth. She had been living there with her husband, Robert Giuffre, and their three children.

The couple met when Virginia, then 19, encountered Robert, an Australian martial arts instructor, during a trip to Thailand. They married just ten days later and eventually settled in Western Australia in December 2020.

Eight months after relocating, Giuffre filed a civil lawsuit against Prince Andrew, alleging he sexually assaulted her when she was 17. The Duke of York has denied all allegations but reached an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre in 2022 for an undisclosed sum.

According to Giuffre, she is now estranged from both her husband and her children, adding another emotional blow to her current medical crisis.

Giuffre’s Legal History and Allegations

Giuffre rose to international prominence in 2019 when she publicly alleged that Epstein had trafficked her and forced her to have sex with his wealthy associates, including Prince Andrew. She claimed that Prince Andrew was aware she was underage at the time.

In 2021, she filed a lawsuit in New York federal court, accusing the prince of sexually abusing her on three occasions in 2001. Prince Andrew has repeatedly denied all allegations.

The 2022 settlement between Giuffre and the Duke of York included a statement noting: “Prince Andrew intends to make a substantial donation to Ms. Giuffre’s charity in support of victims’ rights.

"Prince Andrew has never intended to malign Ms. Giuffre’s character, and he accepts that she has suffered both as an established victim of abuse and as a result of unfair public attacks.”
