Giuffre, 41, was one of Jeffrey Epstein’s most prominent accusers and famously sued Prince Andrew for sexual assault in 2021.

The Duke of York denied any wrongdoing and the case never went to trial after Giuffre was awarded an undisclosed settlement.

On Monday, Giuffre told her followers that she’s fighting for her life following a serious car crash in Australia.

In a series of posts, Giuffre shared photos of herself in a hospital bed with extensive bruising across her face and revealed that doctors had given her just “four days to live” due to kidney failure.

She claimed she was being transferred to a specialist hospital for urology treatment, adding: “I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time.”

Giuffre also wrote: “Thank you all for being the wonderful people of the world and for being a great part of my life.”

Following Giuffre's alarming post, her father, Sky Roberts, wrote an emotional message on Instagram.

He said: "Virginia, my daughter, I love you and praying you get the correct treatment to live a long and healthy life.

"If there is anything in the world I can do to help you, please let me know. My spirit is with you now and holding your hand."

The 41-year-old had alleged the crash occurred when a school bus traveling at 110km/h (68 mph) struck her vehicle as she was slowing for a turn, per The Guardian.

“No matter what your car is made of, it might as well be a tin can,” she wrote.

However, a new statement from Western Australia Police about the incident appears to contradict Giuffre's claims.

A spokesperson for the Western Australia Police Force confirmed to The Mirror: “The Western Australia Police Force received a report of a minor crash which occurred between a bus and a car in Neergabby on 24 March just after 3PM.

"The collision was reported by the bus driver the following day. The car sustained approximately $2,000 (AUD) worth of damage. There were no reported injuries as a result of the crash.”

Police confirmed the driver of the car was a 41-year-old woman. Giuffre was later identified as the hospitalized individual, though authorities noted that she had not informed the hospital what caused the visible injuries shown in her social media post.

A source familiar with the situation also told CNN that Giuffre is currently an inpatient at a Perth hospital but is not in a life-threatening condition. Despite this, Giuffre continues to assert that she is in renal failure.

Her representative, Dini von Mueffling, confirmed in a statement to multiple outlets, including BBC News: “Virginia has been in a serious accident and is receiving medical care in the hospital. She greatly appreciates the support and well wishes people are sending.”

With the correct treatment, patients with renal failure can live longer than the four-day estimate Giuffre claimed, and treatment options for kidney failure include dialysis and a kidney transplant.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, patients with end-stage kidney failure can "survive a few days or weeks without treatment. With the proper treatment, you can have a good quality of life while you manage kidney failure."

It adds: "End-stage renal failure can lead to death. With the right treatment, most people can live with kidney failure," but adds that there is "no cure" for the disease though "with proper treatment, you can continue to live a happy, fulfilling life. But, you can expect to need treatment for the rest of your life."

Giuffre was last known to be living in Ocean Reef, a northern suburb of Perth, with her husband Robert, though recent reports suggest the couple have separated after 22 years of marriage. She has lived in Australia for several years but is originally from California.

She moved from the US after years in the public spotlight as a key accuser of Epstein and his associates.

In 2021, she filed a lawsuit against Prince Andrew, alleging he sexually assaulted her on three occasions when she was 17. She claimed Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell trafficked her to the Duke of York. Prince Andrew has repeatedly denied the allegations.

The lawsuit concluded in 2022 with an out-of-court settlement for an undisclosed amount.

A letter filed to the court noted: “Prince Andrew intends to make a substantial donation to Ms. Giuffre’s charity in support of victims’ rights. Prince Andrew has never intended to malign Ms. Giuffre’s character, and he accepts that she has suffered both as an established victim of abuse and as a result of unfair public attacks.”

Epstein, who pleaded guilty in 2008 to state prostitution charges, was later indicted in 2019 on federal sex trafficking counts. He died by suicide in jail while awaiting trial. Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022 for her role in the trafficking scheme.
