Rising YouTuber Annabelle Ham has tragically passed away aged 22, her family confirmed.
Ham, who was best known for her lifestyle and beauty content on YouTube, died on Saturday after suffering an "epileptic event" her family said on social media.
Taking to the star's personal Instagram account on Monday, the family released a statement in which they confirmed the news "with heavy, heavy hearts."
"This is Annabelle’s family," they wrote to the influencer's 75,000 followers alongside a family selfie. "We’re writing this with heavy, heavy hearts. Annabelle experienced an epileptic event and has gone on to the gates of heaven."
Describing the 22-year-old as "beautiful" and "inspiring" they continued: "She struggled with this for a long time and wanted to raise awareness for it, which we will do in honor of her. Annabelle was beautiful and inspiring and lived life to the fullest. Everyone she met was inspired by her energy and the light inside her soul that shined so bright. She was, and will forever be, so so loved."
They then stressed that during this difficult period, they only wanted "prayers of peace for her family and friends" as well as "the chance to grieve..."
"Please don’t post or spread speculation or details that are unfounded," the statement added. "There will be a time to share more details and to go deeper into her life. Her accounts will be used to share what she went through and the joys she brought to all of us. Unnecessary comments only serve to hurt us all, this is a time for remembrance and mourning. Thank you."
Thousands took to the comment section to express their utter shock and sadness over the unfortunate news, with many describing Ham as an "angel."

"In shock right now. I’ve watched Annabelle since she was in high school and it felt like watching an older sister. Prayers for you all," wrote one fan while another added: "She was the sweetest angel. Miss you forever Annabelle. Sending so much love and prayers."
A third stressed that the content creator would be missed, adding: "Annabelle reminded all of us how important it is to make the people you love smile & feel loved."
"She was sunshine in human form. we were all so lucky to experience her light and love. Sending so much love to you all during this incredibly difficult time," commented another.
Ham, who was a Kennesaw State University student, found success after creating content for YouTube as well as other social media platforms, amassing over 150,000 followers across the range.
Her sister, Amelia, also confirmed the tragedy via her own statement saying: "Sometimes I don’t understand why god does things but, I can’t even put into words how hard this is. You would never think something like this would or could happen to you until it does."
So far, no official cause of death has been released.
