1. Gaming managers
You know, the people hired by casinos and venues with game rooms to make sure everything runs smoothly and that their customers are having a good time. They've got the highest divorce rate at 52.9 per cent which could be linked to the fact that there's a lot of drinking, celebrating and big cash being won (maybe enticing you to elope with your favourite customer).

2. Bartenders
There's also a lot of boozing and chatting going on for people in this profession, and maybe it's that extra smiley regular who clearly has a thing for you (and your authority to serve out alcohol) that leads to the 52.7 per cent divorce rate for people behind the bar. I mean, you can't deny you're not flirting back for those extra tips. Plus, there's the whole late nights and inconsistent hours that would put a strain on any marriage.

3. Gaming services workers
Just like their managers who took spot numero uno, service workers in the gaming industry are exposed to the same environment involving alcohol, irregular hours and a constant interaction with gamblers that might explain the 50.7 per cent divorce rate.
4. Flight attendants
Cabin crew came in next with 50.5 per cent, and while it seems like a totally romantic profession, turns out that a lot of flight attendants have affairs with each other. Busy schedules, lots of airtime without phone service and long chunks of time away from home only make it harder to stay connected with your partner. And you know what they said: "When in Rome".

5. and 6. Construction workers
People setting, operating and tending rolling machines, in particular, were found to have a 50.1 per cent divorce rate, while of those working with extruding and drawing machines had a 46.9 per cent rate. Shift work and having to clock in at odd hours is probably what leads to failed marriages in these scenarios.

7. Switchboard operators
Yes, they still exist. Hospitals and big corporations especially still rely on switchboard operators to direct calls to the right departments, but no-one really knows exactly why they've got a high divorce rate of 49.7 per cent. Are they maybe too phone friendly?

8. Telemarketers
Who would marry a telemarketer in the first place – I don't know. But apparently, constantly being yelled at and hung up on amounts to such a level of stress that has its toll on marriages, explaining the 49.7 divorce rate. Get out of that job stat, if you know what's good for you.
