If you look through examples of female beauty throughout history, it's not difficult to see that our idea of the perfect woman has changed over time. From the round-bootied hotties of the renaissance era right up to the long-legged ladies of the modern-day catwalk, there has been so much variety in what we consider to be attractive.
Even over the last few decades, the models on our magazine covers have transformed somewhat, with curvier, bustier women being ousted in favor of skinny women. Just look at the difference between Marilyn Monroe and Gigi Hadid, for instance.
However, just because a certain look is on trend, that doesn't mean it is any more appealing or attractive than another body type. And 21-year-old Diana Sirokai is on a mission to prove it.

The Hungarian-born woman has over half a million followers on Instagram, and is making waves in the modelling industry due to her plus size figure. While she may not be as slim as the other famous faces we see on fashion runways and tv screens, she's certainly just as beautiful.
Unfortunately, many people still hold fairly strong opinions about featuring plus-sized models in advertising campaigns, and Sirokai has faced some backlash during her time.
So, in order to dispel the myth that thinner is somehow better, the young woman decided to recreate Gigi's naked shoot with Stuart Weitzman. And it's gorgeous.

In the caption, she said: "I was just wondering how a Model My Size would look on this" - and the answer is "amazing".
Her fans were quick to say so, too.
"You are absolutely gorgeous," said one commenter. "I would love to see a campaign with you two ladies together!!!"
"I love the work you're doing, congratulations on spreading awareness just to love your own body. I'll look forward to seeing more of your work," said another.
Earlier on last year, Sirokai also recreated one of Kim K's pictures - again, with impressive results.

By mimicking the photoshoots of already-recognized modeling stars, Sirokai hopes to reach a wider audience and teach them that being beautiful doesn't always have to mean being thin. But, at the same time, she doesn't want to put down other women with different body types, and acknowledges that all shapes and sizes should be valid.
"I was always told by my peers in college that I don't belong in the modeling industry," she said in a conversation with Cosmopolitan. "I wish I had someone to look up to in this industry when I was growing up."
"You can admire someone's beauty, like Gigi's, while also appreciating your own," she added.
Sirokai is just one of many models promoting body positivity in the modelling community, and it's more important now than ever. With so many young people - particularly girls and women - fretting about their weight and appearance, role models like this woman help people to realise that you can be beautiful at any size, and there are more body types available than the ones the media shows us.
