Quincy Jones is a music legend. The 84-year-old record producer worked on
Michael Jackson's best-selling albums, won 28 Grammy's, and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. (Also, he's the father of comedic actress Rashida Jones.).
Although he's on the verge of turning 85, Quincy's not slowing down. He'll be featured in an upcoming Netflix documentary and a CBS Special hosted by
Oprah Winfrey. And those projects should be pretty entertaining, considering the
insane interview he just granted Vulture Magazine. "All I do is tell the truth," says Quincy, and the truth comes peppered with F-words. He does not hold back, dishing wild, hilariously candid quotes about everyone from Michael Jackson to The Beatles to Donald Trump.

When asked about Michael Jackson's personal struggles, Quincy said, "I used to kill him about the plastic surgery, man. He’d always justify it and say it was because of some disease he had. Bullsh-t." When asked about his first impression of The Beatles, he replied, "They were the worst musicians in the world. They were no-playing motherf--kers. Paul was the worst bass player I ever heard." (Told you he doesn't hold back!)
The conversation then turns to
Donald Trump (as most conversations do these days). When asked if he could change one thing about America, Quincy says "Racism." He's seen a lot of since the 1930's and thinks the country's made progress, but there's still a long way to go. But one upside about today's environment is that racists are out in the open, so at least you know where they stand. (For example, the crowd of white supremacists and Neo-Nazi's that marched with tiki torches to
protect a Confederate statue in Charlottesville.)
When asked if 'Trumpism' stirred everyone up. Quincy replies, "It’s Trump and uneducated rednecks. Trump is just telling them what they want to hear. I used to hang out with him. He’s a crazy motherf--ker. Limited mentally — a megalomaniac, narcissistic. I can’t stand him. I used to date Ivanka, you know." (Whoa! I'm no music producer but this would be a good place for a record scratch.)

The reporter - like all of us - responds, "Wait, really?" "Yes, sir," Quincy replies. "Twelve years ago. Tommy Hilfiger, who was working with my daughter, Kidada ,said, 'Ivanka wants to have dinner with you.' I said, 'No problem. She’s a fine motherf--ker.' She had the most beautiful legs I ever saw in my life. Wrong father, though." (Wow, hope her husband, Jared doesn't get too jealous.)
Well, I don't know if going out for dinner with Ivanka necessarily qualifies as a "date." But I'm not going to doubt Quincy Jones. He produced Thriller. And he's pretty honest about everything else in the interview. If he and Ivanka did date, that's a
yuuuge age difference of 48 years. But hey - the heart wants what it wants!
So far, there's been no response
from Ivanka or her father - but who knows? Maybe the President will unleash on Quincy Jones in an epic Twitter rant tomorrow morning. That would be a real war of words.
