Technology is everywhere in 2020, and with the rise of AI, many people have begun to fear when their devices are listening in to their conversations.
However, Apple's latest software update, iOS 14, is going to allay that fear for some, by showing iPhone users an orange warning dot whenever an app is listening to you.
Perfect for those important conversations that you want to keep far from Siri's ears.

The small but nonetheless noticeable dots will appear on the top right hand of the iPhone display, which is just above the signal bars.
The new feature will be activated whenever the phone's microphone are in use.
In addition, a green dot with show whenever your cell phone's camera is in use.
The dot will be an easy way for Apple users to tell if they are being needlessly monitored by apps, and it comes as part of the tech giant's increased emphasis on the importance of privacy.
"Privacy is a fundamental human right and at the core of everything we do," Apple wrote on its website.
"That's why with iOS 14, we're giving you more control over the data you share and more transparency into how it's used."
"An indicator appears at the top of your screen whenever an app is using your microphone or camera."

In addition to the new dots, Apple users will now be able to go to their phone's settings to tell whether or not an app has recently used their camera or microphone.
If apps are recording them when they should be, users can deny them access to the camera and microphone, or simply remove them from their devices altogether.
For iPadOS 14 - the Apple tablets' new operating system - the tiny dot will be orange when the microphone is in use and green when the camera is in use.
The new iOS 14 will also give users the ability to share their approximate location with apps rather than their exact location.
The latest software update was released to the world on Wednesday of this week.
