The summer is almost upon us again, which means that as the temperatures rise, we've all got to modify our wardrobe choices to deal with potential heatwaves.

For example, it might be a good idea to switch out your sneakers and trainers for a pair of sandals in the warm climate. But if you're attached to your Converses and don't want to ditch them just yet, then I have good news for you.

Yes, it seems as though the shoe company is planning on releasing a brand new range of Gladiator-style sandals so that you can look like a Roman legend this summer.

According to a recent report by Hypebae, the new low-top shoe pair will come in beige and black, and feature the same cut-out details inspired by gladiator sandals.

In addition to this, the sneakers come with an EVA outsole for comfort and durability. Not only that, but the All-Star Light features a VELCRO® strap instead of laces.

The All-Star Light PLTS Gladiator Ox will retail for approximately $65 each and will be available to purchase sometime in May. However, you may have to purchase them online, as Converse has recently decided to close its stores due to the coronavirus lockdown.

In a statement posted on their official Twitter account, the shoe manufacturer wrote: "The health of our team members and community around the world is a top priority."

They continued: "Beginning 15th of March, we'll be temporarily closing all of our stores in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, and Austria ... We'll continue to monitor the situation closely, and we'll all get through this together. With Love, The Converse Family. [sic]"
