Man falls to his knees after seeing what he got after buying $26k Chinese SUV online
A man was seen dropping to his knees after seeing the $26K Chinese car he had purchased online for the first time.
Buying a vehicle without ever seeing it in person can be a gamble, but one Australian man appeared more than happy with his result after getting his hands on the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, which is one of China’s best SUVs.
The purchase was made by CarSauce, YouTubers who share in-depth new and used car reviews.
Rather than approaching the dealership openly, they brought the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro in secret so they could experience the process like regular customers. They also wanted to avoid any special treatment because of their status as content creators.
That meant the dealership had no reason to adjust the price either up or down because the car was going to be featured online.
Presenter says the value is “absurd”
The $26,000 SUV left the Australian presenters seriously impressed when it arrived.
The YouTubers found the car surprisingly premium for the money, noting that it had an appearance that they felt wouldn't look out of place alongside vehicles such as the BMW iX or the Kia Sportage.
While they had their own opinions about the shape of the rear end, they praised the other aspects of the exterior.
The CarSauce presenter, Matt, said he was impressed by how much equipment the car offered at its price point.
"I think that you get absolutely everything that you need and want down at this price point," he said. "It’s actually absurd to me."
"It looks good. The interior is really nice with great technology – literally, every feature that you could want," he added.
The interior and technology were the biggest surprises, as they helped the budget car feel more expensive than its price might suggest.
Matt also shared that while the driving experience was okay daily, he still felt the car performed well compared with other alternatives.
In addition to this, he admitted that it was unlikely that Chery Tiggo 4 Pro would blow drivers away, but finding other cars with the same overall package for the money would be difficult.
Matt reveals the dealership already knew who he was
Despite trying to keep his purchase under wraps, the YouTuber revealed that the dealership knew who he was.
That meant his attempt to experience the process anonymously did not go to plan, but still, he was delighted with the purchase.
"It's my first ever new car, so to pick this up is frankly awesome. The guys here have been fantastic, so thank you for that.
"They did actually know who I was, which is kind of a shame, I didn't want anyone to know, but that's what happens when you work in the car industry I guess," he concluded.
