Certainly, entertainment industry wunderkind, the all-singing, all-dancing, Selena Gomez, unfollowed hundreds of accounts across her social media feeds yesterday. The 25-year-old contentiously unfollowed her assistant, Theresa Mingus's account, as well as several people who we believed to be her close friends, such as Gigi Hadid and fellow Disney veteran, Demi Lovato.

However, she still followers a handful of Selena Gomez fan accounts, as well as Taylor Swift, Amy Schumer, Jessica Alba, her stylist Kate Young, and her long-time best friend Francia Raisa.

The more likely explanation then is that it's all part of an overall brand strategy that her agents are in the process of implementing.
