The majority of us know
Britney Spears because of her collection of timeless classics, (hello, Toxic and Hit Me Baby One More Time) as well as her relationship with fellow Noughties icon,
Justin Timberlake, a.k.a, the man with whom she wore
that matching double denim ensemble. Other people, however, immediately think of the infamous head shaving incident, and her highly-publicised split from Kevin Federline. But whatever it is that comes to mind when you think of Britney, it's unlikely to be on account of her artwork.
Yes, the pop-star extraordinaire, has purportedly set her sights on the art world. I mean, who can forget that rather iconic Instagram video of her painting a series of blue and purple flowers, set to Mozart's Turkish March? Not I.
If you need a refresher, here's Britney's original post, which she pithily captioned, "Sometimes you just gotta play!!!!!!"

While no one would profess Britney to be the most talented painter (as of yet), it appears that she's putting all her efforts towards a decidedly good cause, charity. In fact, she kindly donated this particular artwork to Vegas Cares, an auction dedicating to helping all of those who were caught up in the mass shooting which shook Las Vegas last month.
And as it turns out, Britney's contribution truly did help the cause. Her artwork was purchased by English entertainment reporter and writer, Robin Leach for an eye-watering $10,000. Not bad, eh? I mean, I can't think of anyone who
wouldn't want a bit of Britney hanging in their hallway. And, of course, it's made all the better on account of being for a great cause.
Just look at how happy he looks!

The Las Vegas shooting took place on the 1st October and has since been deemed the deadliest mass shooting in US history. 58 people died and 546 were left injured in the terror attack which took place at an open-air music festival in the city.
The gunman, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock from Mesquite, Nevada, opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. The "lone-wolf" showered hundreds of round of ammunition from his automatic weapon onto throngs of revellers below, forcing around 40,000 concert goers to duck for cover as rounds of shots rained down during the Route 91 Harvest Festival.
Paddock was promptly shot and killed by police officers.
The death toll of at least 50 people makes this the deadliest mass shooting in US history. It surpasses the Orlando shooting which took place in June 2016 at Pulse nightclub, in which 49 people were killed.
Well, it's certainly heartening to see that household names such as Britney Spears are doing their part to help the victims of the terrible atrocity at Las Vegas. The world can't be such a terrible place, after all, right?
