Slash's stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, has posthumously shared a statement to Instagram - three days after her tragic death.
On Monday (July 22), the legendary Guns N' Roses guitarist took to Instagram to share a prepared family statement with his fans sharing the heartbreaking news that 25-year-old Lucy-Bleu had died.
According to her family, Lucy-Bleu passed away "peacefully" on July 19 in Los Angeles.
"Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024," the statement read.
"Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul," the tribute continued. "The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss."
No cause of death has been provided by the family or officially reported at this time.
7News reports that the news comes after the guitarist canceled a number of his upcoming performances.
Now - just hours after the family shared their statement - a new post has been shared to Lucy-Bleu's Instagram page, leaving her followers concerned.
The post - which appears to be an apology of sorts - includes a posed photo of the 25-year-old, along with the message: "Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated/ controlled you, told you to quit your day job from the comfort of being financially supported by my parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity-I am sorry.
"Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly big ego, insecure heart and fear of being vulnerable.
"May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job at being Lucy-Bleu. Peace".
The post - which many of her followers have determined must have been a scheduled post rather than shared by another person - went live roughly 3 hours after Slash and other family members shared their statement.
Taking to the comments section, Violet Grohl - the daughter of Foo Fighter's legend Dave Grohl - wrote: "rest in peace honey".
The sentiment of the post has also led to many concerned followers to share their theories on Lucy-Bleu's cause of death.
Lucy-Bleu was born in 1998 to parents Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight.
Slash and Meegan first dated back in 1989, when she was roommates with Erin Everly - the ex-wife of Slash's Guns N' Roses bandmate Axl Rose.
The pair rekindled their relationship in 2015, and although they're not officially married, his love for Lucy-Bleu as his stepdaughter was clear.
Our thoughts continue to go out to Lucy-Bleu's family and loved ones at this time.
