We're all familiar with that sweet panic that sets in when you wake up to realise you've inadvertently snoozed your alarm one time too many, meaning you're definitely going to be late to work. Oops!
For one woman, this realisation was a lot less disheartening when she realised her tardiness wasn't her fault at all. After repeatedly showing up late to work, she discovered that her cat, Joaquim, had been turning off her morning alarm while she slept.
Watch sneaky Joaquim at work:Now, maybe we should give the feline the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps the alarm bells were too loud for Joaquim's delicate ears. Maybe the cat just wanted a few more precious morning moments with their owner. But maybe Joaquim had devised an elaborate plan to ruin this woman's life one alarm at a time.

The video, which was taken last week in Sao Paulo, Brazil, shows the cat making its way over to a phone on the bedside table when it starts ringing and vibrating. Then, Joaquim leaps up and taps his paws on the phone screen until the alarm turns off.
When the woman picks up her phone, the cat grabs her arm, perhaps in an effort to force her to put it down and go back to bed, at least for a few more minutes. But the woman was far from being mad at her pet. Throughout the video, her laughter can be heard over the alarm.
"My companion and I were arriving late to work because the phone alarm wasn't waking us up. Recently, we have discovered that our kitty Joaquim was the one who was turning off the alarm," reads the caption on the video.
It's no surprise that cats are this vindictive. A few weeks ago, a post from a man who had trouble breathing while sleeping went viral when he discovered his cat was laying on his face in the night. Bad kitty.
If you're the proud owner of a furry feline friend, make sure you keep an eye on them. You never know what these sneaky little things might be up to when you're trying to catch a little shut eye.
