As pretty much everybody knows, weddings are sort of a big deal. Not only are they a pivotal moment in a couple's life together, it's also a day that they've probably been planning for years - if not decades - before actually making their way down the aisle and saying their "I do"s.
It goes without saying, then, that everything is expected to be perfect.
So, when Steph and Paul Unwin hired a photographer for their big day, they hoped that he would capture all of their precious moments and give them some snaps to remember for a lifetime. Unfortunately, he failed to do the former - but he certainly succeeded in the latter.
David Kilcourse, who advertised himself as a professional wedding photographer, has been accused of ruining the couple's day after he took 96 pictures of the two bridesmaids - many of which focused on their legs, cleavage, or behinds - but just 70 of the bride, and only 11 of the groom.
"He caused so much heartache," said Steph. "We have so many moments missing from our big day."
The couple had paid for a package deal from Kilcourse, which should have included shots of the bride getting ready, as well as pictures of the ceremony, meal and evening events. They were also promised a photo book, two prints, edited images and a CD.
However, when the so-called photographer handed over the finished products, the newlyweds were disappointed. There was no photo album as promised, and Kilcourse only handed over the CD after he was prompted. On the disc, the pictures all appeared to be unedited, and there weren't as many as the couple had expected.
They asked whether that was all he had taken and, according to Steph, "He turned around and said he took thousands of pictures. When we received them, he’d taken 1,636 images and 559 were out of focus. He called them ‘misfires’."
"There were none of the in-laws, one of my parents and almost 100 of the two bridesmaids," Steph explained. "He took pictures of one of my bridesmaid’s breasts, some of her bum. There were more pictures of just the bridesmaids than anything else. I’m sure he was doing that on purpose."
In her opinion, one or two "misfires" would have been understandable, but a whole album of shoddy pictures is just unacceptable.
"I know that photography is interpreted differently by different people but when he takes three pictures of someone’s bum, that’s not an accident," she said.
After complaining to Kilcourse about his services, Steph and Paul took the photographer to court and sued him for failing to deliver the services he advertised. Kilcourse failed to show up, and was subsequently ordered to pay £601 ($840) to the couple.
However, the photographer is now claiming that the lack of quality images was down to "bad weather".
"As a company, we did over 1,000 weddings and we only had, probably in all that time, 10 complaints of that severity," he said. "It’s a matter of opinion that we didn’t fulfill the package. Steph said that we didn’t take any outside shots of the wedding, when it was pouring it down all day.
Kilcourse's company has since folded, and he no longer acts as a wedding photographer under their name.

Your wedding day is supposed to be the happiest day of your life. And yet, a video that a couple posted online of a moment they shared from their big day has sparked a great deal of concern for the bride.
The couple took to TikTok to post what they thought was a harmless video of a prank by the groom.
In the video, the groom responds to his bride playfully wiping their wedding cake on his face by grabbing the entire three-tier cake and throwing it in her face.
Check out the video below:The video currently has 2.8 million views, 92,000 likes, and over 8,000 comments at the time of writing.
However, a number of people in the comments section have failed to see the funny side of the clip, taking to the comments to insist that the man's behavior was a "red flag" and telling the bride to "divorce" him.
One person suggested: "'A cake never hurt anyone turns into 'he didn't mean to push me' which turns into 'he only hits me when I make him mad.'"
Another concerned TikToker said: "That looked like it hurt. He went way too far. If he did this in [front] of people what does he do behind closed doors."
A third person insisted she was not a "Karen" and is "good with pranks", but went onto say: "This is [clown] level and unnecessary."
And the criticism just kept pouring in, with yet another TikTok user asking: "If he's behaving publicly like this then what about behind closed doors?"
Another user insists: "You can literally see his mood change to anger and he THREW that cake, leave him sis he's abusive."
A different person commented: "That's not only aggressive but so embarrassing??? If he's comfortable doing that in front of all of her friends and fam... scary."
Others suggested the bride should divorce her new husband:
In response to the outpouring of negative comments, the original poster wrote: "We don't get embarrassed in front of FRIENDS and FAMILY. This is us and it was funny to everyone. I'm sorry [that] you have a different sense of humor."
The couple have since posted another video of them all loved up
However, the TikTok community remained concerned...
What do you think? Was this abusive on the groom's part or are the comments making a mountain out of a molehill? Let us know in the comments!

A photographer has sparked a debate online after deleting a couple's wedding photos when he was denied food at the event.
Sharing his story on Reddit, he wanted to know if he was the "a**hole" in the whole saga or whether the bride and groom were to blame for his actions.
He explained: "A friend got married a few days ago and wanting to save money, asked if I'd shoot it for them.
"I told him it's not really my forte but he convinced me by saying he didn't care if they were perfect: they were on a shoestring budget and I agreed to shoot it for $250, which is nothing for a 10-hour event."
His photography gig on the day of the wedding began at 11:00 AM and was due to finish at 7:30 PM.
However, when food was served at 5:00 PM, he was told he had to keep going and wasn't allowed to eat with everyone else.
He recalled: "They didn't save me a spot at any table. I'm getting tired and at this point kinda regretting doing this for next to nothing. It's also unbelievably hot: the venue is in an old veteran's legion and it's like 110F and there's no AC.
"I told the groom I need to take off for 20min to get something to eat and drink. There's no open bar or anything, I can't even get water and my two water bottles are long empty. He tells me I need to either be a photographer or leave without pay."
Due to the extreme heat, his hunger, and his feeling of irritation at the circumstances, he asked the groom whether he was sure about what he was saying - and its implications.
The Redditor continued: "He said yes, so I deleted all the photos I took in front of him and took off saying I'm not his photographer anymore. If I was to be paid $250, honestly at that point I would have paid $250 just for a glass of cold water and somewhere to sit for 5min."
Concluding his post, he asked: "Was I the a**hole? They went right on their honeymoon and they've all been off of social media, but a lot of people have been posting on their wall asking about photos with zero responses."
On Reddit, the verdict was unanimous - he was not the "a**hole" in this particular situation.
Here are some of their reasons:
Over on Twitter, the opinions were a little more diverse.
One person argued that the photographer wasn't as blameless as those on Reddit were making him out to be.
They said: "Agreed, it’s horrible not to feed the photographer but I think it’s equally horrible to delete all the pictures taken. The contract was to PAY them to take pictures. Now there are no memories of someone’s wedding because they were cheap and the photographer was petty."
Another argued that while the photographer can always "eat later", the bride and groom will "never get those pictures or moments back."
What's your opinion? Let us know in the comments!

There's a reason that wedding photographers are so expensive. First, there's a lot of planning that goes into selecting the dream venue, the perfect flowers and the dress for the occasion, and getting crappy photos of it all would just not do it justice. Secondly, many people claim it's the most important day of their life, and capturing that on camera is one way to immortalise that milestone forever.
But even if you have the best photographer and the perfect weather, there's always the possibility that your wedding photos will be met with some kind of unplanned-for event. Like this story, which saw a bridesmaid accidentally disrupt the couple's photos with hilarious results.
Last month, a dude called Kevin Ryan celebrated his three-year wedding anniversary. He decided to share the happy news on Twitter, posting a photo from the Chicago ceremony with the caption: "Three years ago, I married the love of my life and my sister fell over". Not the usual anniversary memo, is it?
Well, as you might imagine, the photo he posted documents the moment his sister, one of the bridesmaids, "fell over". It might actually be the funniest wedding photo that the world has ever seen, because right when the newlyweds shared their first kiss as a married couple, his sister did indeed fall over. Right in the shot. With timing that was nothing but perfect.
Take a look for yourself:

Yep, there on the bottom left of the frame is Kevin's sister, who apparently fainted (I'm hoping out of elation for the happy occasion). Face-first, shoes almost off, and no-one in the shot really grasping what had just happened quite yet. Here's a close up:
Oh dear. So what exactly happened? Well, Kevin composed another tweet to explain the situation a little more. After someone fired a bunch of questions that jumped to everyone's minds after seeing the photo, he felt the need to clarify things.
"What happened? Was it planned? Did she just hit the deck without warning? Why isn't the vicar looking round? Why does the other bridesmaid have extra flowers? Who took this beauty?" asked someone.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/KatHarbourne/status/1022200741098934273]]
To explain what happened, Kevin wrote "my sister fainted at the exact moment the judge says you may kiss the bride". He said "hell naw" to the suggestion that it might have been planned, and explained why no-one had rushed to her aid in the photograph: "it's a real split second photograph, a few seconds later we were all over her!"
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/K_47/status/1022202442392510464]]
He then went on to say that it was a "sweltering summer's day" and that their venue had turned into a "greenhouse" over the course of the sunny day, providing the perfect conditions for someone to overheat and faint.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/K_47/status/1022203165704421376]]
Luckily she was totally fine, with Kevin saying that "it's all jokes now".
Naturally, people found the whole thing hilarious. Someone asked if Kevin and his wife had the photo framed at home...

[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/K_47/status/1022416173852504064]]
Someone else suggested he get it prepared as a gift for his sister.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/DigDoug/status/1023173568023212032]]
Others joked that she planned it all along.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/muchwilder/status/1022252465742327813]]
But everyone agreed it was a wedding photo to go down in history.

Congratulations on your anniversary Kevin, and we do hope you get that picture framed.

The majority of people hire a professional photographer for their wedding. It is, after all, supposed to be the happiest day of their lives, and they want to have each and every moment captured to treasure for generations to come.
However, now that we live in the age of technology, many of these moments are being ruined for professional photographers by the amateurs and their cell phones.
Some moments you don't want to remember forever, like this groom's reaction to meeting his bride for the first time at the altar:
[[jwplayerwidget||https://content.jwplatform.com/videos/IUBC9zUo-Q0L14jDU.mp4||IUBC9zUo]]
This was recently brought to light in a now-viral Facebook post by photographer Hannah Mbalenhle Stanley, which at the time of writing has had over 52K reactions.
It features a bride being walked down the aisle by her father and an iPhone abruptly ruining the shot.
She wrote:
"To the girl with the iPhone...
"Not only did you ruin my shot, but you took this moment away from the groom, father of the bride, and the bride. What exactly do you plan on doing with that photo? Honestly. Are you going to print it out? Save it? Look at it every day? No. You're not. But my bride would have printed this photo, looked at it often and reminisced over this moment as her dad walked her down the aisle on her wedding day. But instead, you wanted to take a photo with your phone, blocking my view, and taking a photo that you will not use.
Guests, please stop viewing weddings you attend through a screen but instead turn OFF your phone, and enjoy the ceremony. You are important to the bride and groom, you would not be attending the wedding otherwise. So please, let me do my job, and you just sit back, relax and enjoy this once in a lifetime moment.
"Sincerely,
"Wedding photographers"
Understandably, this post generated quite the discussion on the social media website, with some people remarking that as an act of respect, their wedding guests didn't use their cell phones during their ceremonies.
Some people shared even more shocking stories:
So, the next time you're at a wedding, or any event where there's a professional around, you might want to spare a thought for, y'know, the actual photographer.
It just goes to show that you should always be prepared for your big day - but not as prepared as this groom-less bride:
