Adele jokes about weight loss as she hosts Saturday Night Live
Adele's dramatic weight loss has been the subject of many a headline in 2020, and now the singer has joked about her change of appearance while hosting Saturday Night Live.
"I know I look really, really different since you last saw me," the 32-year-old said as she took to the stage.
"But actually, because of all the Covid restrictions... I had to travel light and I could only bring half of me," she joked. "And this is the half I chose."

The 'Someone Like You' singer then revealed that she was actually "too scared" to sing and host the show simultaneously.
However, despite her fear, she did manage to overcome it to sing during one of the SNL sketches.
"I'd rather just put on some wigs, have a glass of wine or six, and see what happens," she said.
This happened during a sketch based on The Batchelor, where Adele played a hopeful singleton looking for love.
Referencing the titles of her first three albums, she said: "I'm here because I've had a lot of heartbreak in my life - first at 19 and then, sort of famously, at 21 and then, even more famously, at 25"

The singer endured rejection after rejection during the sketch while being put through various dating scenarios from the show.
After each rejection, Adele burst into one of her hit songs including 'Rolling in the Deep', 'Hello', and 'Set Fire to the Rain' - annoying her castmates more and more each time.
Adele finally concluded her hilarious performance while walking off stage singing 'Someone Like You' and said: "Catch me next week on Love Island!"

Adele's hosting of the show comes three years after she last appeared on American television at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
It also comes five years after the release of her last album, 25.
The follow-up album has been much-anticipated, and per the BBC, it was speculated that her SNL performance was an indication that it was finally ready, but last week, Adele said that she wanted her hosting of the show to be a "stand-alone moment".
