It's time - grab your popcorn and get ready for hours and hours of Harry Potter madness!
Netflix has finally dropped all eight Harry Potter movies on the streaming platform for our viewing pleasure.
So that's The Sorcerer's Stone, The Chamber of Secrets, The Prisoner of Azkaban, The Goblet of Fire, The Order of the Phoenix, The Half-Blood Prince, and both Deathly Hallows all available to watch on Netflix from today onwards.
Rewatch the trailer for the very first movie in the franchise:However, there is a slight catch as the movies are only available for viewers based in the UK and Ireland right now, but we're hoping Netflix is feeling generous enough to expand over the pond too.
But let's just say, British and Irish fans are extremely excited about the news.
Taking to Twitter under the official announcement by Netflix UK & Ireland, they gathered to express their joy.
"Have I watched these movies a million times? Yes. Will I be watching again now they're on Netflix? Also yes," wrote one user.
"Finally, an opportunity to watch these mysterious forgotten gems," added another.
A third described the announcement as the "best news," saying: "The BEST news !! GUESS I know what I’ll be WATCHING."
And another stated that they will be binging the entire series later tonight.
The news comes shortly after it was announced that the popular franchise will be getting its own spin-off TV show on HBO Max.
The streaming platform confirmed the rumors that were swirling for the past few months in a simple Twitter post, stating that they have "ordered the first ever #HarryPotter scripted television series" which is set to be "a faithful adaptation of the iconic books."
Alongside the caption, they posted a 30-second teaser clip, which showed off the official title page accompanied by the familiar opening theme tune...
Check it out below:During an event for Warner Bros Discovery, details surrounding the new series were revealed to audience members, with producers stating that this was a "decade-long" project featuring "a new cast to lead a new generation of fandom."
WB Discovery also added: "Each season will be authentic to the original books and bring Harry Potter and these incredible adventures to new audiences around the world" after previously reporting that there would be seven seasons, each related to the books.
In a press release, the franchise's creator J.K Rowling said that she will be joined by Neil Blair and Ruth Kenley-Letts as executive producers on the show, while also stating that it "will be available on Max [HBO Max's new name] in the US and globally once produced."
No other details have yet been confirmed.
I don't know about you but I'll be re-watching the entire series on Netflix in the mean time.
