Alyssa Milano has reportedly apologized to Britney Spears after sharing a "bullying" post about the pop star on social media.

Recently, the 41-year-old 'Toxic' songstress returned to Instagram and called out the 50-year-old actress for expressing concern about her well-being.

It started on December 22 when Milano reacted to an Instagram video Spears posted and wrote on Twitter: "Someone please go check on Britney Spears."

The Grammy-winning artist then took to her reactivated Instagram page on Tuesday (January 31) and shared a screenshot of the Who's The Boss star's tweet, accusing her of "bullying".

"It saddens me to see things about me from people who don't know me!!! This definitely feels like a form of bullying," the 'Baby One More Time' singer said. "Ladies, we are supposed to be rooting for one another not pulling one another down!"

According to TMZ, a representative for the Charmed actress revealed that she reached out to the singer on Wednesday (February 1) to apologize and sent a "supportive" message.

However, Milano isn't the only one to voice her concerns for Spears as just last week, the police were called to the 'Hold Me Closer' singer's house after fans noticed that she deleted her Instagram account.

The 'Slave 4 U' singer - who ended her 13-year conservatorship in November 2021 - did not take kindly to the move and shared a lengthy statement on Twitter, writing: "As everyone knows the police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls.

"I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded," she said. "The police never entered my home and when they came to my gate they quickly realized there was no issue and left immediately."

"This felt like I was being gaslit and bullied once the incident made it to the news and being portrayed once again in a poor and unfair light by the media," Spears continued.

"During this time in my life, I truly hope the public and my fans who I care so much about can respect my privacy moving forward," she concluded.

After returning to the social media platform, the 'Stronger' hitmaker picked up where she left off and started posting multiple dancing videos.

And, in a now-deleted caption under one of her posts, Spears reiterated that she was "not having a breakdown" just because she initially deleted her page.

"Since everyone thinks they know my story. THINK AGAIN," she vented. "It is what it is … nope I'm not having a breakdown … I am who I am and moving forward in my life. I have never felt better!!!"
