Britney Spears has issued a statement after some of her fans allegedly sent police to her house to perform a wellness check on her.

As reported by TMZ, the 41-year-old 'Toxic' songstress sparked concern amongst her fandom after she deactivated her Instagram account for the seventh time in a less than a year

Her supporters called the Ventura Co. Sheriff's Office to ask cops to be sent to Spears' Thousand Oaks, California home to check on her and upon examination, it was determined that she is not in "any kind of harm or any kind of danger," per Page Six.

On Thursday (January 26), the 'Gimme More' hitmaker shared a statement on her Twitter account, pleading for some privacy from her worried followers.

Check out Spears' tweet below:

"As everyone knows the police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls," Spears wrote. "I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded."

"The police never entered my home and when they came to my gate they quickly realized there was no issue and left immediately," she continued. "This felt like I was being gaslit and bullied once the incident made it to the news and being portrayed once again in a poor and unfair light by the media."

"During this time in my life, I truly hope the public and my fans who I care so much about can respect my privacy moving forward. All the love, B," the singer concluded.

One of Spears' fan accounts on the social media platform replied to her tweet, writing: "I wish you nothing but the absolute best Brit. I'm so sorry people feel like they can involve their own desire for attention [in their] own life. You deserve better."

Another follower said: "Britney deserves to finally be able to breathe and not have to worry that something negative is right around the corner. 14 years of her life were stolen let her be free to live her life happily after so many years were stolen from her."

A third chimed in and commented: "If anyone deserves peace, it’s you."

Some of the 'Baby One More Time' singer's fans grew anxious after she shared a number of bizarre posts. One of those was a video of herself naked in the shower and another addressing a "manic" episode she had at a restaurant with her husband Sam Ashgari.

According to TMZ, onlookers said she was "yelling" and "speaking in gibberish" which allegedly prompted her 28-year-old fitness guru beau to storm out of the restaurant.

Fans became increasingly concerned after she took to Instagram to reminisce about her past relationship with ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake, shared a video of a "regretful" tattoo she got in Hawaii, and then declared to her fans that she will be changing her name from Britney Spears to River Red.

However, while Asghari has not said anything publicly about his wife deactivating her Instagram, he previously confirmed that she deletes her social media pages because it "can be traumatizing" for her, so "sometimes it's good to take a break".

He also informed her fans at that time that "being overprotective can cause more stress and damage".
