Andrew Tate has informed his followers on social media that being behind bars for two months has taken its toll on him.

The former kickboxer, 36, has been detained since December 2022 after he and his brother Tristan and two others were arrested in connection with an investigation into alleged human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized crime group.

They were initially due to be held for 30 days, however, their confinement has been extended twice - meaning they are being held until the end of March while police build their case.

On the same day of the former Big Brother contestant's imprisonment, police raided his property and seized money, designer watches, and even weapons such as guns, swords, and a hatchet. Investigators were also seen dragging his luxury cars from their villa.

Tate - who is known for misogynistic views and has 5.2 million Twitter followers - has previously taken to the social media platform to tell his followers that he had been living with "cockroaches, lice, and bed bugs",

He wrote: "They are trying to break me. Thrown inside a cell without light. Cockroaches, lice, and bed bugs are my only friends at night."

He has also bizarrely claimed to his devoted fans that he has been battling ghosts in his cell, explaining: "I was awoken last night by an icy chill and identified a ghost in my prison cell."

"He was terrified and begged me not to annihilate him. I sent him back to hell with a message for the demons. I am always ready," he added.

Now, the self-proclaimed "Top G" has stated that the weeks of being inside a Romanian prison cell have been rough on his looks, penning: "I saw my reflection today and I barely recognized myself.

"A long beard, a full head of hair, and the stresses of battle show on my face. But then I looked into my eyes and recognized myself completely. They cannot break me," he concluded, adding a clearly old picture of himself in a suit.

As previously mentioned, a judge recently extended the notorious internet personality's detention inside prison for another 30 days. It's the third time prosecutors have successfully petitioned to prolong his stay, despite no charges yet filed.

Following the court appearance on Monday (February 27), Tate's Twitter account posted a message, which read: "They weaponize lies to keep me in here. But you cannot hide the sun forever."

And he later added: "Always winning isn’t the point of God’s battles. The point of God’s battles is so you can show him the strength of your heart when you lose."

According to Associated Press, DIICOT - Romania's anti-organized crime unit - shared in a statement after the December arrests that it had identified six victims in the human trafficking case.

The victims were allegedly subjected to "acts of physical violence and mental coercion" and sexually exploited by members of the alleged crime group.

The outlet added that they were baited by deceptions of love and later threatened, put under surveillance, while being forced into engaging in pornographic acts.

The case is still ongoing.
