Brie Larson had an emotional moment during a red carpet interview at the 2024 Golden Globes - and fans are gushing over how "relatable" the actress is.
On Sunday (January 7) night, the 81st Golden Globes took place at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, with some of the top winners of the night including Oppenheimer, The Bear, and Succession.
The 34-year-old Oscar-winning actress attended the ceremony as she was nominated for her performance in Apple TV's Lessons in Chemistry in the 'Best Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television' category.
Before the event commenced, the Captain Marvel star was chatting with Entertainment Tonight, excitedly telling the interviewer: "It's the chance of a lifetime. You’re just surrounded by legends everywhere you look. I mean, I was just standing there, and Oprah walked by me."
While the Oscar winner attempted to remind herself that she’s "not in a dream," she was completely taken aback by the 54-year-old 'Jenny from the Block' singer who was standing behind her.
“Oh my god," a frantically starstruck Larson said, before turning around and closing her eyes in complete awe. "I’m gonna cry. I can't deal with J.Lo."
Finally face to face with Lopez, who was sporting a stunning pink gown, Larson emotionally said: "You mean so much to me!" while the 'Let's Get Loud' singer returned the compliment by revealing that she was also a "huge fan".
The Room actress tried to compose herself as she explained to JLo that her 1997 film Selena made her "want to be an actor," adding: "You've always meant so much to me."
"Your work ethic is so important," she continued. "Thank you. I've been wanting to say that to you for a long time so I'm really - I didn't think it was going to be right now. OK. I'm gonna have to go do a shot of tequila or something."
