Britney Spears has recalled a less than successful past experience with cosmetic procedures.

The pop icon, 40, revealed that her latest Botox treatment reminded her of a scene in the Adam Sandler movie, Just Go With It.

In a recent post on Instagram, Spears shared a video accompanied by a lengthy caption about her experience with Botox.

In the clip, the singer can be seen sitting on a private plane en route to a "tropical destination," admitting that her last attempt at the age-defying procedure didn't go quite as planned.

"Anyways I’m really debating on getting botox," she wrote in her caption. "I think I’m getting subtle lines on my forehead but the last time I did it my eyebrow was raised like the funny girl in the movie 'Just Go With It'!!!!"

In the hit 2011 film, Adam Sandler is a plastic surgeon whose patient, played by comedian Rachel Dratch, received a botched eyebrow lift that caused half of her face to be raised.

The moment in the film shows Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, who plays his assistant, unable to control their laughter.

"For 3 weeks it wouldn't come down, it stayed up there !!!" Spears said about her Botox experience. "Sounds funny but it actually wasn't !!! I thought it was permanent… I mean I'm surprised people don't sue."

"Anyways just happy to be here as in, present. Grace. Cherishing moments and, most of all, getting strong, spiritually. P.s. I’m not drinking at all, just acting," she added.

Anti-aging injectables, such as Botox, have grown in popularity as a non-surgical treatment for banishing wrinkles.

It comes as Spears signed an eye-watering $15 million book deal with publishing house Simon & Schuster for a tell-all memoir, per The Guardian.

The news of the book deal — first reported by Page Six — comes three months after the singer's 13-year conservatorship came to an end.

A source told the outlet that "the deal is one of the biggest of all time, behind the Obamas". The president and first lady signed a deal worth an estimated $65 million to write multiple books for Penguin Random House in 2017.

In November 2021, a judge put an end to the conservatorship that has controlled the singer's personal, professional and financial matters since 2008.

Her father Jamie - who was also her conservator - pointed to her public mental health struggles as justification for the legal guardianship, and what was intended as a temporary arrangement was made permanent by the end of that year.

Over the last several months, the pop star has been vocal about her estrangement from her family, including dad Jamie, mom Lynne and sister Jamie Lynn - who recently released her own memoir.
