Britney Spears has hit out after reports claimed that people close to her were planning to stage an intervention following recent "erratic" behavior.
The singer was released from her 13-year conservatorship in November 2021 and has spent the past year embracing her newfound freedom.
The conservatorship had been put in place in 2008 after a public breakdown the year before, meaning her father Jamie Spears was given control over her personal and financial decisions.
However, her friends and fans have expressed concerns after Britney began posting unusual photos and videos on Instagram, as well as a video of her behaving "erratically" at a restaurant going viral.

New reports from TMZ claimed that those close to her had planned to stage an intervention earlier this week, with a friend telling the publication: "I'm afraid she's gonna die."
The publication claimed that "multiple sources with direct knowledge" had alleged the singer was "flying off the handle" and had planned for an intervention to take place on Tuesday.
They claimed that her manager had rented a house in Los Angeles for several months, where they planned to take Britney, 41, and have her husband Sam Asghari, 28, her manager, an interventionist and doctors try and convince her she needs help. Her parents - Jamie and Lynne Spears - and her two sons were reportedly not involved.
The reports alleged that the plan was for Britney to live in the rented home for up to two months while getting medical and psychological treatment.
However, the intervention did not go ahead after TMZ claims Britney became "somewhat aware" of what was being planned and allegedly agreed to a meeting with a doctor on Wednesday which "went well".
Following the claims, Britney hit back at the friend who worried she would die, stating that it was all fabricated.
She shared a quote post before adding in her caption: "It makes me sick to my stomach that it’s even legal for people to make up stories that I almost died … I mean at some point enough is enough !!!
"I’m probably going to have to stop posting on Instagram because even though I enjoy doing it, there’s obviously a lot of people who don’t wish me well !!!
"I’m honestly not surprised at all … Again doing the best I can !!! Again, the conservatorship has been over for almost a year … No folks, it’s not 2007 … it’s 2023 and I’m making my first homemade lasagna at home !!! I finally got my fireplace to work in my living room !!!
"As my hubby says it best: don’t believe everything you read !!! All that love right back at ya !!!"
Britney had also recently been forced to speak out after fans had called police out to her home to perform a wellness check after she deactivated her Instagram account temporarily.
Her supporters had called the Ventura Co. Sheriff's Office to ask for cops to be sent to the 'Toxic' singer's Thousand Oaks, California home in January, and upon examination, it was determined that she was not in "any kind of harm or any kind of danger," per Page Six.
Britney addressed the incident, writing on Twitter at the time: "As everyone knows the police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls. I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded.
"The police never entered my home and when they came to my gate they quickly realized there was no issue and left immediately," she continued. "This felt like I was being gaslit and bullied once the incident made it to the news and being portrayed once again in a poor and unfair light by the media."
"During this time in my life, I truly hope the public and my fans who I care so much about can respect my privacy moving forward. All the love, B," the singer concluded.
