Bruce Willis' family has opened up about spending as much quality time with the actor after his dementia diagnosis.

It was March when it was first announced that the 68-year-old had been diagnosed with the disease following his aphasia diagnosis in 2022.

Emma Heming Willis took to Instagram to give fans further details on Bruce's condition at the time.

After expressing the family's initial gratitude, she went on to say: "Since we announced Bruce's diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce's condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD)."

"Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis."

She continued: "Bruce always believed in using his voice in the world to help others, and to raise awareness about important issues both publicly and privately."

Heming Willis also addressed the actor's fans, stating that she and the family were thankful for the outpouring of support during this difficult time.

"Bruce has always found joy in life – and has helped everyone he knows to do the same," Heming Willis added. "It has meant the world to see that sense of care echoed back to him and to all of us. We have been so moved by the love you have all shared for our dear husband, father, and friend during this difficult time.

"Your continued compassion, understanding, and respect will enable us to help Bruce live as full a life as possible," she concluded.

Since then, the 45-year-old, who shares two children with the Die Hard actor, has been keeping fans in the loop on Willis' condition via social media.

It seems as though the family is spending as much time together as possible, with an insider revealing that they've come together to "keep his memory of the family intact."

"Once Bruce was diagnosed, everyone came together to keep his memory of the family intact," the source told Us Weekly on Wednesday (December 6).

"They’re all there all the time," the insider continued. "This experience has brought the whole family even closer together. No one knows how much time Bruce has left, so they're soaking up every moment they get with him."

Unfortunately though, the source also revealed that Willis is having "more bad days than good" over the past few months so everything "revolves around" him.

While the star receives round-the-clock care, another source revealed that he always has at least one family member with him which includes his wife and his daughters Rumer, 35, Scout, 32, and Tallulah, 29, who he had with actress Demi Moore while they were married from 1987 to 2000.

According to recent social media posts published by Emma, the family celebrated Thanksgiving together.

"I’m grateful and thankful to know this kind of love," she wrote in the caption of a photo that featured the entire Willis clan. "Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving."

We're sending Bruce Willis and his entire family lots of love and prayers during this difficult time.
