Emma Heming Willis gave fans a sweet glimpse at Bruce Willis enjoying Thanksgiving with his family as the Die Hard star continues to battle dementia.

Bruce, 68, had retired from acting in March 2022 after his family shared that he had aphasia - a condition that affects speech and comprehension - before revealing in February 2023 that further tests had determined that the cause was frontotemporal dementia.

His wife Emma, 45, has since kept fans up to date with how Bruce has been doing through regular Instagram updates showing what he has been up to.

Her latest post showed the actor surrounded by his loving blended family on Thanksgiving, with his five daughters - Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, nine, who he shares with Emma, as well as Rumer, 35, Scout, 32, and Tallulah, 29, from his first wife Demi Moore, 61, who was also in attendance.

In the photo, Bruce could be seen smiling as Emma cradled his face in her hand, while Demi grinned and pointed at the couple.

His children and Scout's boyfriend Jake Miller as well as Rumer's partner Derek Richard Thomas, were also seen sitting on garden furniture around him, smiling happily at the family get-together.

Emma captioned the snap: "I’m grateful and thankful to know this kind of love. Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving."

Earlier in the month, Emma had revealed why she and the family had chosen to be so open about Bruce's health battles, writing on Instagram: "Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) doesn’t give you many options. It can suck all the air out of a room.

"But I made a choice, to take some power back and pump oxygen back into our lives, for the sake of our girls, Bruce and me."

The family and some of Bruce's close friends have shared updates on the actor, with Moonlighting creator Glenn Gordon Caron recently revealing he is "not totally verbal" anymore.

He told The New York Post: "The thing that makes [his disease] so mind-blowing is [that] if you’ve ever spent time with Bruce Willis, there is no one who had any more joie de vivre than he.

"He loved life and … just adored waking up every morning and trying to live life to its fullest."

Glenn described Bruce as now "seeing life through a screen door", adding: "My sense is the first one to three minutes he knows who I am.

"He’s not totally verbal; he used to be a voracious reader — he didn’t want anyone to know that — and he’s not reading now. All those language skills are no longer available to him, and yet he’s still Bruce."

Tragically, he added: "When you’re with him you know that he’s Bruce and you’re grateful that he’s there, but the joie de vivre is gone."

Since his diagnosis, Bruce has largely remained out of the limelight, with fans' only glimpses at him being through social media posts shared by his loved ones.
