Seann William Scott is making a staggering amount of money each month, despite making very little from American Pie.
The 48-year-old actor, best known for playing Steve Stifler in the late ’90s teen comedy franchise, recently laid out his financial portfolio as part of his divorce proceedings with ex-wife Olivia Korenberg, per Us Weekly.
The couple, who were married for four years, share a five-year-old daughter, Frankie Rose.
According to court documents filed August 18 and obtained by multiple outlets, Scott reported that he earns an average of $110,000 per month, with another $45,000 coming in from royalties and $31,000 from dividends and interest payments.
In total, that’s nearly $186,000 every single month - an income level that rivals many Hollywood leads.
Despite the impressive earnings, Scott also reported hefty monthly expenses totaling close to $60,000.
His spending includes around $15,000 in property taxes, $5,000 on repairs, $2,500 in groceries, $1,500 in clothing, $1,500 in entertainment, $2,000 in utilities, and even $500 on his mobile phone bill. He also listed approximately $11,000 in “other bills.”
On top of that, the actor claimed to have already spent about $500,000 on his divorce from Korenberg.
Scott’s filings also detail an expansive portfolio of property and investments. He listed $158,000 in cash and savings, more than $12.2 million in stocks and bonds, and an estimated $18.7 million in property, including three Los Angeles homes.
The actor also owns a Mini Cooper hatchback valued at $30,000, a Honda Passport SUV worth $55,000, $171,000 worth of furniture, and artwork valued at $93,000.
The wealth marks a dramatic change from Scott’s early career. Back in 1999, his breakout role in American Pie earned him just $8,000.
“I remember afterwards, I bought a used Thunderbird for $5,000 - maybe $6,000—[and] I’m like, ‘Oh yeah, baby,’” he recalled on The Rich Eisen Show in 2022.
“I don’t know what happened to the other $2,000 because I ended up having to work at the LA Zoo as a churro guy, so maybe it was even less than $8,000.”
The teen comedy proved to be a massive hit, spawning three theatrical sequels and five spin-offs, as well as cementing Scott as one of Hollywood’s go-to comedic actors.
He has since appeared in Road Trip, Final Destination, The Righteous Gemstones, Lethal Weapon, and voiced Crash in the Ice Age franchise.
Despite the franchise’s success, Scott has admitted he’s unsure about ever reprising his infamous Stifler role.
“It would have to be a perfect idea,” he explained on the Inside of You podcast in July 2023. “Comedies have changed so much that that movie would have to change and adapt and be more relatable, so we’ll see.”
