Angelina Jolie has been praised for how she handled a situation where she was grabbed by a fan.
Jolie is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in the world, but her fame can often bring unwanted attention.
During an appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), one overly eager fan manager to bypass security to get to the star.
Jolie, who was at the premiere of her war drama Without Blood, a film she co-wrote and directed, was grabbed by the fan.
While she graciously stopped to pose for photos with fans and signed various memorabilia, what began as a typical celebrity-fan interaction quickly escalated.
The fan immediately went in for a hug, and after her initial shock, Jolie responded with composure, returning the fan’s embrace before the individual was swiftly escorted away by security.
The fan, visibly emotional, appeared to speak briefly with Jolie, and as security moved to remove the person from the area, the actress was heard telling the team to “be nice,” signaling her desire to avoid any aggressive handling.
The entire incident was caught on camera and has since gone viral across social media platforms.
While a fan noted: "This is so scary…. imagine if it was the wrong type of 'fan'," others had a different thought.
Many praised Jolie’s calm and empathetic response while pointing out the potential dangers of the encounter.
One person wrote: "I would’ve been terrified at first but she was so nice about it even realizing it was a fan."
A second person added: "The way Angelina protected that girl and took time to listen to her and asked again to be nice to her. Angelina is really mother in a nice and comforting way."

Earlier in the summer, Jolie unveiled a new chest tattoo which has an important meaning.
The tattoo in question is a swallow-like bird in flight in the center of her chest.
Swallow tattoos carry deep meaning, originating from sailors.
According to the U.S. Naval Institute: “Legend has it that tattoos began when seven sailors from a ship called the Swallow each tattooed a swallow on his chest to mark their mutiny. Tradition, though, generally holds that a swallow tattoo is used to measure how far a sailor travels.”
