Anna Faris has shared the one piece of marriage advice she'd give to her eight-year-old son.

The 44-year-old actress opened up about her own relationships on a recent episode of her podcast, Anna Faris Is Unqualified.

Speaking with author Glennon Doyle, Faris discussed what nuptial guidance she'd give to Jack - whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Pratt.

Per People magazine, Faris reflected on her marriage to Pratt, and her previous marriage to actor Ben Indra, stating:

"I don't know if it's too grumpy and cruel to say in a sense but if I could tell my eight-year-old son one thing that maybe he would stick to, I would really encourage him to not get married in his 20s."

It comes as Faris hinted that she regretted marrying Pratt during an episode of her podcast back in May, in which she spoke to guest Rachel Bilson about her divorce.

Per Daily Mirror, Faris said: "I never talked about any issues, so to the people, even who I was closest to, I'm sure things were more transparent with my relationship with Ben [Idra].

"But with Chris, I think that we both protected that imagery even within our close circles.

"For me, I think after every breakup, at some point I realize that there were a lot of things I ignored that I really shouldn't have. In hindsight, it felt like my hand was forced. I don't think it was ever an independent decision."

Per People, Faris and Pratt met in LA in early 2007 during the table read for the movie 'Take Me Home Tonight'. After dating for a number of months, they finally wed in a ceremony in Bali, Indonesia, on July 9, 2009.

However, the couple announced that they were separating in a joint statement posted to their various social media accounts in August of 2017.

The statement read: "Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed.

"Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.

"We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another."
