Ariana Grande announces that she is engaged to her boyfriend Dalton Gomez

Ariana Grande has taken to social media to announce that she is engaged to her boyfriend Dalton Gomez.

Sharing a series of pictures with her new fiancé, who is a real estate agent, including one of an engagement ring the 27-year-old singer wrote: "forever n then some".

The 'thank u, next' singer has been dating Gomez, who the BBC reports is also in his twenties, for just under a year, and the couple are currently living in Grande's Los Angeles home, as per the current stay-at-home orders in California.

A source close to the couple told PEOPLE magazine: "They couldn't be happier, they're just so excited. This is a happy time for them, both sets of parents are thrilled."

The magazine reports that the couple have been dating since January.

The couple went public with their relationship back in May when they appeared together in the music video for 'Stuck with U', Ariana's duet with Justin Bieber.

"Ariana doesn't want to do another public relationship so she is trying to keep this one quiet, but she seems very happy with Dalton," an insider told PEOPLE in March.

News of the singer's engagement comes after she released her sixth studio album, Positions, in late October, which went to the number one position in the UK and US.

The album's titular lead single also went to the number one spot on both sides of the Atlantic, the BBC reports.

After making their relationship public back in May, the couple went Instagram official in June when Ariana shared another gallery that featured photos and videos of her pups, a childhood photo, and a picture of herself cuddling Gomez.

The singer, who will be releasing her Netflix documentary Excuse Me, I Love You on December 21, gushed about her fiancé in August.

"Hbd to my baby my best friend my fav part of all the days :) i love u [sic]," she wrote, as per PEOPLE.

Ariana was previously engaged to comedian and SNL star Pete Davidson, but the then-couple called off their romance in October 2018.
